Dodd Catches Milliard-Feral

Corey Dodd raised to 1,700 in the cutoff and Julian Milliard-Feral defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of     and Milliard-Feral check-called a bet of 1,100.

The   hit the turn and both players checked.

When the   completed the board, Milliard-Feral fired out a bet of 5,000 and Dodd wasted little time making the call. Milliard-Feral tabled    and Dodd took down the pot when he showed    for two pair on the flop.

Seven-High No Good as Kade Busts

Vanessa Kade was in the big blind and threw out two green 25,000 chips, announcing herself all in on the river with       showing. Jorge Ribeiro on the button went into the tank for several minutes before the clock was called.

Just as the tournament floor was about to reach zero, Ribeiro put in the chips to call. Kade turned over    for seven high, while Ribeiro had   . The stacks were counted down and Ribeiro's remaining 86,000 had Kade covered as she made her exit.

Richard Seymour, three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots and 131st-place finisher in the 2019 Main Event, just registered for the tournament and took his seat at this table.

Phil Hellmuth opened to 2,400 on the button and was called by Raj Singh in the small blind.

Both players checked on the     flop and then Singh led out for 2,500 on the   turn. Hellmuth called.

The   completed the board and Singh bet 2,200. Hellmuth paused and then raised to 10,000. Singh called after a bit of thought.

Miles Rivers Straight

Tony Miles opened to 1,700 from middle position and David Mccaw called in the hijack, as did the cutoff.

The flop came     and Miles check-called after Mccaw bet 3,200, while the cutoff folded.

On the   turn, Miles led for 5,000 and Mccaw called.

The   completed the board and Miles bet 17,000. Mccaw called.

Miles showed    for a rivered straight, while Mccaw turned over    for two pair which was sent into the muck.

Mccaw wanted it clear that he was ahead on each street, while Miles pointed out it was he who received the most chips from the hand.

Tymoshenko and Kislinksii Battle Twice

Sergei Kislinskii raised to 1,800 in early position and Artem Tymoshenko called in the small blind.

On the     flop, Tymoshenko check-called a bet of 1,200.

The   hit the turn and both players checked to see the   on the river. Tymoshenko checked to Kislinskii once more and he fired out a bet of 4,600. Tymoshenko made the call and Kislinskii tabled    for a flush before Tymoshenko mucked his hand.

On the following hand, Kislinskii raised under the gun to 1,700 and Tymoshenko defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of     and Kislinskii check-raised a bet of 4,000 to 11,700. Tymoshenko made the call.

When the   hit the turn, Kislinskii checked to Tymoshenko and he fired a bet of 12,000, which was enough to make Kislinskii surrender the pot.

Lee Forces Hunichen to Fold

Chris Hunichen raised to 1,600 from under the gun before Sarah Lee, next to act, three-bet to 4,300. Hunichen called and the flop came    .

Hunichen checked to Lee, who bet 3,200. Hunichen once again called, then check-called another bet of 13,600 on the   turn. On the   river, Lee put out a bet of 17,500. Hunichen asked the dealer how much the bet was before picking up his cards and slamming them into the muck.

Welcome to Day 2cef of Event #67: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship

Main Event Bracelet

The 2021 Main Event continues today at 11 a.m. with Day 2cef, in which the 1,807 surviving players from Days 1c, 1e, and 1f will meet back at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino to continue their journey toward Main Event glory.

Aleksandr Shevlyakov remains the overall chip leader between Days 1c, 1e, and 1f. The Russia native will sit with 392,600 in chips, or 491 big blinds, at the start of play today.

Shevlyakov's co-leaders include Adam Walton (334,000) and Tung Nguyen (328,200) — both of whom bagged their big stacks on Day 1f. David Gerassi, who was the Day 1f chip leader, will come into Day 2cef fourth in chips overall with 316,100.

Many notables will also be joining the fray in Day 2cef, including former WSOP Champions Qui Nguyen (143,800), Hossein Ensan (84,000), Scott Blumstein (95,000), Joe Hachem (186,100), Chris Moneymaker (75,800), and Phil Hellmuth, who managed to bag 94,500 in chips after making making a grand entrance late in Day 1f.

Players in Day 2cef will play five more two-hour levels, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 8 (approximately 5:45 pm local time). The surviving players from today will reconvene with the remaining players from Day 2abd, where they will unite into a single field for Day 3 tomorrow at 11 a.m.
