Muallem Makes Tough Call to Chip Up

Noam Muallem, recognizable by the panda cap he wears, raised to 2,500 from the hijack and got two callers, including Prashray Rai on the button. Muallem continued for 3,000 on the     flop and only Rai called.

Muallem slowed down and checked the   turn, allowing Rai to bet 3,000. Muallem then min-raised to 6,000 and Rai called to see the   river.

Muallem checked once again and Rai threw out a bet of 25,000. Muallem considered the decision for several minutes, picking up a green 25,000 chip he would need to call and twirling it in his fingers. He eventually called and Rai turned over    for a pair of jacks. Muallem slammed down    for a pair of jacks, ace kicker, to win the pot.

"I put him on queen-jack. Jack-five from the button? No respect," Muallem said as he stacked his new chips.
