Lowery Loses One; Takes Next One

Daniel Lowery

On a flop of    , Daniel Lowery checked to Natalie Hof and she put in a bet of 2,600, which Lowery called.

The   landed on the turn and Lowery check-called another bet, this time for 7,300.

When the   completed the board, Lowery checked to Hof for the third time and she continued to fire, putting in a bet of 21,000. Lowery debated his options for about ten seconds and tossed his hand into the muck.

On the following hand, Lowery raised under the gun to 2,500 and three players made the call.

The flop of     and turn   got checked by all four players. When the   landed on the river, the big blind checked to Lowery and he bet 5,800. Only the button called and Lowery tabled    to bounce back after losing one.

Hunichen Folds Kings, Probes For Information

Chris Hunichen bet 9,500 on the      turn with about 11,000 in the middle. He was met with a raise to 22,000 by Masoud Jafari and went into the tank.

"Will you show me if I show you," asked Hunichen.

Jafari shook his head and Hunichen folded    face up.

" I made a bad fold," asked Hunichen?

"Lucky," said Jafari. "Flush draw."

"You couldn't have had a flush draw," said Hunichen. "You would have to be suicidal to bluff me, I don't think you're suicidal."

"I told you," said Jafari. "Flush draw."

Acuna Eliminated, Penalty Issued in Controversial Hand

Gilbert Acuna was eliminated in a controversial hand that began with a preflop raising war between Acuna and Sondre Bjornebekk.

Acuna checked on the flop of     and Bjornebekk moved all-in with approximately 100,000 already in the middle.

"Oh, you've got aces," Acuna said before flipping his hand face-up and showing   .

Bjornebekk flipped over    and Acuna then tossed in a chip for a call, claiming that he had not called yet when he flipped over his hand.

Bjornebekk accused his opponent of angling by tabling his hand before making a decision and Acuna denied the accusation. The floor was called over and ruled that the Acuna's call would stand and gave the player a one-round penalty for exposing his hand.

The turn brought the   and Bjornebekk clapped as he improved to a flush and held after the   river.

"Karma," he said after winning the hand.

As it turned out, Acuna would not be around for his one-round penalty as Bjornebekk had him slightly covered and he was sent to the rail.

Jorge Hou open-jammed for 10,700 from early position and Soo Jo Kim called from the cutoff before Tony Bracy squeezed for his last 29,000.

Kim hesitated before tossing his chips in for the call and all three players tabled their hands.

Julian Milliard-Feral raised to 2,300 in early position, David Bonadio called next to act, Denise Pratt called in the cutoff and the big blind came along.

The flop fell    , and the big blind checked to Milliard-Feral who continued for 5,700 and only Bonadio called.

The   was the turn and both players checked.

On the   river, Milliard-Feral checked once again to Bonadio and he bet 5,000. Milliard-Feral check-raised to 30,000 and Bonadio took about five seconds to make the call. Milliard-Feral tabled    before tossing it into the muck and Bonadio earned the pot with a set on the river as he tabled   .
