Sylvia Drags a Big Pot

Jesse Sylvia

2012 Main Event runner-up Jesse Sylvia was seen dragging in a big pot after looking for momentum throughout Day 2.

With       on the board, Sylvia tabled    to take a pot that was over 50,000 while his opponent sent the losing hand into the muck.

Also at Sylvia's table is Jordan Redavid, who is charging up the leaderboard with over 450,000 at the moment.

Conrad Back From the Brink

Chris Conrad was down to around 20,000 on the dinner break but he has sine more than tripled up. The latest pot saw him check a heads-up turn of      and he then bet the   river for 5,500. His opponent mulled over the decision for a while and eventually folded.

Weissman Essentially Doubles

On a flop of    , Joey Weissman invested 8,500 of his short stack while out of the small blind and the cutoff stuck around. The   turn was checked and Weissman bet the   river for 8,100 with one T-100 chip behind. His opponent tank-called and Weissman won the pot with    for trips.

In a tussle of two bigger stacks, Steve Yea bet 6,000 on the      turn and was called by Anthony Zinno. The   fell on the river and Yea splashed in another bet of 11,600, which earned a snap-fold from Zinno.

Action was picked up on the river as the board      . The pot was about 25,000. Lynne Ji bet 12,000 from the big blind.

Roman Valerstein was in the small blind and check-raised to 30,600. Ji thought for over a minute before she called.

There was all-in action preflop between Ayaz Mahmood from the big blind and his opponent from middle position with Mahmood holding the superior stack.

Big Slick Does The Trick For Shak

Dan Shak opened to 4,000 from early position and was called by the player in the big blind.

Both players checked on the     flop and the big blind checked again on the   turn. Shak bet 7,000 and his opponent called.

The   completed the board and Shak's opponent check-called a 10,000 bet from Shak.

Shak tabled    for a pair of kings and his opponent mucked without showing.

Liu Leaves Weisner Short

JJ Liu

JJ Liu just made a big call on the river to boost her stack back over 200,000 and leave Melanie Weisner very short.

With a bit over 30,000 in the pot on a river board reading      , Liu checked from the big blind to Weisner, who bet 14,000 of her approximately 35,000 chip stack.

Liu went into the tank for a couple of minutes before opting to call.

Weisner showed    for a failed bluff, as Liu turned over    for a flopped top pair which was good.

Diebold Busts Newcomer

Ben Diebold

In his first hand after changing tables, a player in middle position raised to 4,300. Ben Diebold raised to 22,000 and his opponent shoved for around 45,000. Diebold quickly called.

Chadha-Villamarin Wins One Off Bonomo

Carlos Chadha-Villamarin opened in early position and Justin Bonomo flat-called in late position, as did the big blind.

Chadha-Villamarin continued with a bet of 8,500 on the flop of     and only Bonomo called. Chadha-Villamarin slowed down and checked on the   turn and Bonomo checked back.
