Hand #177: George Holmes opened to 4,000,000 and Koray Aldemir called out of the big blind as the duo headed to the     flop and opted to check. After the   turn, Aldemir checked once more and Holmes bet for 4,000,000. Aldemir spent 30 seconds in and tank and came along to the   on the river.

Hands #173-174: Holmes Fires Three Barrels to Nearly Close the Gap

Hand #173: George Holmes raised to 4,400,000 and Koray Aldemir defended the big blind to the     flop. A quick check by Aldemir led to a bet worth 4,000,000 by Holmes and that claimed the pot right there.

Hand #174: Aldemir made it 4,600,000 to go on the button and Holmes three-bet to 9,000,000 in the big blind. The call by Aldemir after 31 seconds followed and they headed to the     flop. Holmes continued for 5,000,000 and Aldemir followed suit with a call.

Hand #168: Jack Oliver jammed for 35,700,000 in the small blind and Holmes in the big blind asked for a count. After one minute and 11 seconds of consideration, Holmes made the call.

The     flop kept Oliver in the lead with a pair of eights but the   turn improved Holmes to the superior pair.

Nothing changed on the   river and that spelled the end for Oliver in third place. He takes home $3 million for the efforts and there will now be a short break before heads-up play gets underway.
