Action was picked up on fifth street, with Josh Arieh raising a bet from John Monnette. Monnette called, then called another bet on sixth street as well. Arieh kept up the aggression on seventh, firing out another bet.

Monnette showed    in the hole and said "I guess these aren't good anymore" as he tossed them into the muck.

Shortly after, Monnette was eliminated in a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo by Cary Katz.

According to his former tablemates, "Angry" John took his bustout rather well, saying, "Good luck. Oh shit, you guys don't need it."

Katz Doubles and Gains More Chips After

Cary Katz was flipping for his tournament life out of the small blind with the    and was called by John Monnette with the    in the big blind. The board ran out       and Katz doubled.

He then raised the button and Chad Eveslage called out of the big blind in the next hand. Eveslage check-raised to 40,000 on the     flop and folded to a shove by Katz, who revealed the   . "I would have called if I had any equity," Eveslage replied in table chat.

Rast Eliminates Yockey to Vault Over a Million in Chips

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Adam Friedman raised to 15,000 on the button and was three-bet to 60,000 by Brian Rast in the small blind. Bryce Yockey then cold four-bet to 150,000 and action folded back to Rast, who announced he was all in for a bit over 600,000.

Yockey went deep into the tank, but eventually made the call for his entire stack of 594,000.

Elezra Chips Up With Quads

In a three-bet pot to the     flop, Eli Elezra bet 37,000 out of the big blind and was called by Chris Vitch. They headed to the   turn on which Elezra bet 22,000 and picked up a call before he made it 87,000 to go on the   river. Vitch mulled over his decision for more than a minute and then placed one T-25,000 chip for the call.

Elezra rolled over      for quads and raked in the significant pot.

Brewer Forces Fold from Seiver

Chris Brewer raised from under the gun and was called by Daniel Negreanu in the cutoff and Scott Seiver in the big blind. The     flop was checked to Negreanu and he bet 10,000, picking up two calls. Seiver then led the   turn for 35,000 and Brewer was the only caller.

Seiver checked the   river and Brewer bet 127,000. A long tank by Seiver followed and he ultimately opted to fold.

On a flop of    , Daniel Zack bet 20,000 from the hijack and was called by Dario Sammartino, who was on the button.

Zack then check-called a 45,000 bet from Sammartino on the   turn.

The   completed the board and Zack led out for a hefty 175,000 — sending Sammartino into the tank.

"I have a full house," Sammartino said. "Show me ace nine." Sammartino then placed calling chips into the middle.

Zack tabled      for nines-full and Sammartino revealed he held    for a lower full house as Zack collected the pot.

Welcome to Day 3 of Event #60: $50,000 Poker Players Championship

Dan Cates is among the big stacks for Day 3

Arguably the most exciting mixed game contest of the year continues it's pursuit to crown the champion of Event #60: $50,000 Poker Players Championship, which recommences at 2 p.m. PT in the Amazon Tan section.

Spectators on the rail can watch the action from a few meters away where they will see some of the biggest names in the world of poker do what they do best.

Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Paul Volpe leads the way and he is the only player with a seven-figure stack so far (1,092,000). Close behind are Dan Cates (944,000), Adam Friedman (913,000), and Alex Livingston (872,000), who are all just one scooped pot away from taking over the lead.

Other big names in contention in a field filled with mixed game aficionados include Yuval Bronshtein, Nick Schulman, Eli Elezra, Josh Arieh, Daniel Negreanu, Ben Lamb, Bryce Yockey, Anthony Zinno and the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year Robert Campbell to name all but a few.

They will all aim to navigate their way through the nine different game variants and move on to Day 4, which is expected to reach the money bubble.

Day 3 will play six levels of 140 minutes and there will be a 15-minute break after every level. A 60-minute dinner break will occur upon the completion of Level 4.
