Small Pot for Lisawad
Joe Hachem more than doubled his severe short stack on Day 2 and Pakinai Lisawad just won a small pot off Sam Soverel. It was Lisawad who opened to 8,000 in the cutoff and Soverel called in the small blind. Soverel led the flop for 9,000 to earn a call from Lisawad and they checked the turn.
On the river, Soverel checked once and Lisawad bet 25,000 to win the pot uncontested.

Pärssinen Loses A Bunch
Chance Kornuth chipped up further as he attempts to build another wall of chips. The next biggest stack on the same table now belongs to Nathan Zimnik, who won a bigger pot against Eelis Pärssinen without showdown.
Zimnik checked the turn and Pärssinen bet 51,000. The check-raise for the size of the pot worth 217,500 by Zimnik followed and Pärssinen folded.

Ausmus Shoves on Beckman
Jason Beckman raised to 7,000 in the cutoff and Jeremy Ausmus called on the button. The flop came and Beckman continued with a bet of 10,000. Ausmus raised to 40,000 and Beckman called.
The turn brought the and Beckman checked. Ausmus shipped all in for just over 80,000 and Beckman threw his cards to the muck.

Ziegelbecker Gets Paid
Jason Koon in the big blind was seen in a heads-up pot against under the gun player Oswin Ziegelbecker on a board reading with around 40,000 in the middle.
Koon led out with a river bet of 26,000 and Ziegelbecker thought it over before calling. Koon showed and was no good against the of his opponent, and Ziegelbecker raked in an early pot to start the day.

Seiver Pots the Turn
Scott Seiver opened to 10,500 in the cutoff and was called by Chris Sandrock on the button. The two players went heads-up to a flop of . Seiver continued with a bet of 20,000 and Sandrock quickly called.

Wantman Chips Up Through Kamran
In a battle of the blinds, Michael Kamran and Matthew Wantman invested 35,000 each on the turn and the then appeared on the river. Kamran checked and Wantman now bet 48,000. That ended up winning the pot without resistance as Kamran opted to fold.

Cheong, Bronshtein and Deeb Among Big Stacks Heading to Day 2 in Event #53: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller
Joseph Cheong, Yuval Bronshtein and Shaun Deeb are among the big stacks heading into Day 2 of Event #53: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller at the World Series of Poker. The three bracelet winners are joined by chip leader Eric Kurtzman and 116 other players who made it through the first ten hours of play on Day 1.
Deeb, who starts the day with 566,500 chips, is looking to win the event for the second time after shipping it in 2018 for a seven-figure cash of $1,402,683. Cheong and Bronshtein are after their second and third respective bracelets, while Kurtzman is looking for his first after a close call in Event #16: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship, which he finished third in.
Other well-known players who will take part in the Day 2 action include Daniel Negreanu, Scott Seiver, David Benyamine, Anthony Zinno, Erik Seidel, Chance Kornuth, Sam Soverel and Dylan Weisman. They will likely be joined by others as late registration will remain open for the first two levels of play today.
Day 2 commences at 2 p.m. local time beginning on Level 11 with blinds at 1 ,500/3,000/3,000. Players will play ten 60-minute levels and will take a 60-minute dinner break around 8:30 p.m. after the completion of Level 26.
