Huge Double for Mackoff
The action folded around to Jonas Mackoff on the button who raised. Sylvain Loosli was next to act and ripped his entire 840,000 in the middle and Mackoff wasted no time calling.

Sternberg Out Kicks Loosli for Double
Alan Sternberg was all in preflop from the small blind for 225,000 and was called by Sylvain Loosli from the button.

Sternberg was ahead holding a better kicker and nothing changed after the flop.
The turn did give Sternberg a little sweat as it paired the board bringing possible chop outs, but the board completed with the on the river and secured his double-up.

Rosen Picks One Up
On a flop of and roughly 150,000 chips already in the middle, Steve Rosen check-called a bet of 40,000 from Lachezar Petkov.
On the turn both players checked to see the on the river. Rosen put in a bet of 85,000, which was good enough to force Petkov out of the pot.

Mattsson Spikes an Ace
Troy Donaldson raised the cutoff to 60,000 and Sebastien Grax called on the button before Simon Mattsson shoved for 485,000 in the small blind.
The big blind got out of the way before Donaldson let his hand go and Grax made the call.

Rast Chips Up Early
On the first hand of the day, Tuan Pahn raised to 65,000 from under-the-gun and Brian Rast called from the big blind.
On the flop, Rast check-raised a bet of 50,000 from Pahn up to 185,000.
Pahn made the call and they saw the turn . Rast took his time before putting together a big bet of 380,000. Pahn quickly folded and Rast moved up the leaderboard.

Obara Leads Way; Norton Chasing Second Bracelet in a Week
A total of 997 entrants played in Event #51: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, creating a prize pool of $2,661,990 and a first-place prize of $474,102. Only 41 hopefuls remain to take home a World Series of Poker Gold Bracelet.
Leading the way is Jun Obara who bagged 3,010,000 chips on Day 1. Obara gradually built the chips throughout the day including a big pot early in the day when he made aces full against two opponents and got a full triple up. Bagging second is chips was Rostyslav Sabishchenko with a total of 2,020,000. However, not far behind them is Chad Norton who bagged 1,090,000. Norton won his first WSOP gold bracelet this week after taking down Event #46: No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack and earning himself $214,830 and will be looking to repeat.
Many other bracelet winners are still in the mix, including Brian Rast (1,665,000), Manig Loeser (1,375,000), Sejin Park (920,000), Georgios Sotiropoulos (770,000) and Alan Sternberg (505,000).
Other notables still chasing the victory include, John Gallaher, (1,700,000), Uri Reichenstein, (1,660,000), and Romain Lewis (1,335,000).
The action is set to kick off at 2 p.m. at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in the Amazon Gold section. The blinds will return at 15,000/30,000/30,000. Levels will be 30-minutes each and there will be a 15-minute break after every four levels. Play will continue until a champion is crowned.
