Uzunov Rivers Straight For Ginormous Pot

The flop read    . Tommaso Briotti bet 320,000. Ivan Uzunov moved all in, having Briotti slightly covered as both players had healthy stacks.

Briotti went into the tank and took over a minute before he called.

Briotti was ahead but would need to fade the open ender. The turn was the   to pair Uzunov and give him a few more outs. The river was the   and just like that Uzunov slayed Briotti as the counts were confirmed by the dealer.

Briotti stood up, shaking his head as if he could not believe what just happened looking dazed and like he had just received a physical blow to the head. He slowly wandered over to payouts as his tournament was suddenly over after having a big stack not long ago. Meanwhile Uzunov surged to the chip lead.

Davis Survives His All-in Versus Norton

The hand was discovered on a board of      and Chad Norton having shoved all-in for around 1,600,000 effective. Gene Davis tanked for a few, but eventually opted to make the call, and his tournament life was at risk.

"Good call", said Norton, as the cards were turned face-up.

It was a good call indeed as Davis held    for a pair of queens and a heart flush draw against the    for king-high held by Davis.

The river card was a   and improved the winning hand to trip queens for Davis, and he survived his all-in chipped up to a solid 4,350,000 chips.

Mezrich Dropped by Papineau

Action quickly folded to Ari Mezrich who raised all in from the small blind and Mathieu Papineau looked him up from the big blind.

Hlib Kovtunov raised all-in from the button with    and was called by Joshua Herman from the small blind who held   .

The dealer flopped     and Herman remained in the lead with ace-high.

Young Out Kicked by Wang

Maxwell Young

Rodney Spriggs limped in from under the gun, Kevin Wang raised to 450,000 from the button and Maxwell Young called off his 135,000 stack from the big blind.

Action was back on Spriggs who called and the dealer dropped a     flop on the felt. Spriggs check-called Wang's 375,000 continuation bet and the   paired the board on the turn.

Spriggs this time check-folded after Wang jammed and the two all in hands were revealed.
