Platt Holds For Huge Double

Raffoul went deep into the tank. After about three minutes, a tablemate called clock and the floor started the countdown before Raffoul called with four seconds on the countdown.

Platt had the    and he needed to hold against the    of Raffoul.

The flop came with all low cards as it was spread    . The turn stayed low with the   and the river was clean for Platt as the   came off to secure the huge double for him and leave Raffoul very short stacked.

Stolzenfeld At 24 Million

Steven Stolzenfeld raised to 800,000 preflop and from middle position, Frank Lagodich called him. Action folded around and the two of them took a flop.

The flop came out     and Lagodich called a bet of 1,400,000 from Stolzenfeld.

The turn came a   and Stolzenfeld bet once more, sizing up to 2,200,000. Lagodich called once more and the river was dealt.

Platt Folds Better Pair

The flop read    . Jeff Platt was under the gun and check-called a bet of 600,000 from Kenneth Inouye who was on the cutoff.

The turn came the  . Platt check-called again, this time for 1,600,000.

The river was the   to double pair the board. Platt checked a third time over to Inouye who played with his chips a bit before pushing them all forward for the all in of about 5,700,000. Platt went into the tank and thought it out.

"Is to always a nine here? Or could it be something like jack-ten of spades" he said out loud trying to get anything out of Inouye who didn't budge.

Eventually he folded saying he was laying down a pair. Inouye showed the    which Platt immediately winced at, indicating he had folded the better pair as he confirmed to his rail after the hand.

Sejin Park raised to 600,000 on the button and from the big blind, Alex Kulev defended.

The flop came down     and Kulev checked the action over to Park who bet 750,000. Kulev responded with a check-raise to 1,875,000 which Park called.
