Chris Vitch opened to 80,000 from under-the-gun and it was folded around to Joshua Faris in the small blind, who shoved for 595,000. Vitch called to put Faris at risk.

Faris stood pat and Vitch tanked for quite some time before deciding to stand pat himself.

"Ten nine," Faris said as he tabled      

"Ten eight," Vitch responded while fanning out      , which was enough to knock Faris out in fifth place.

Hellmuth Getting Stronger

Phil Hellmuth raised to 110,000 from the button and Jake Schwartz came along from the small blind while Joshua Faris called from the big blind.

Faris drew two cards while Schwartz and Hellmuth both took one.

Schwartz and Faris checked to Hellmuth for a bet of 140,000. Schwartz folded and Faris called while turning over      . Hellmuth turned over       to take the pot.

Hellmuth Gets Some Back

Phil Hellmuth opened to 95,000 on the button and found one caller in Joshua Faris from the big blind.

Both players drew one and Faris led out for 150,000.

Hellmuth called and Faris tabled a what appeared to be a six-high straight.

"I can beat that!" Hellmuth said as he tabled       and scooped the pot.

Phil Hellmuth raised to 115,000 from the button and Joshua Faris three-bet to 250,000 from the big blind.

Hellmuth called and stood pat. Faris took one card.

Both players checked after the draw. Hellmuth showed a   and Faris turned over      .

Hellmuth was not happy with the pre-draw re-raise.

"I had a good hand," Faris said as he took the pot with a smile and chipped back over the 1 million mark.

Chris Vitch opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet by Phill Hellmuth to 225,000 in the small blind. Vitch called.

"It's a little greedy — but I'm going to ask for a three," Hellmuth said to the dealer as he drew one. Vitch stood pat.

Hellmuth checked and Vitch bet around 300,000. Hellmuth revealed      and mucked his fifth card — awarding the pot to Vitch.

Schwartz Applies Pressure

Jason C Lipiner raised to 75,000 from middle position and Jake Schwartz called from the button while Rep Porter came along from the big blind.

Porter drew two, Schwartz drew one, and Lipiner stood pat.

Schwartz bet 260,000 after the draw and Porter folded right away. Lipiner went into the tank.

"I know you aren't bluffing," Lipiner was heard saying. "I just don't know if I can beat you."

Lipiner folded and Schwartz picked up a pot to move past 1.5 million.

Jason Lipiner opened to 60,000 from the lojack and was three-bet to 200,000 by Phil Hellmuth in the hijack. Action folded back around to Lipiner, who called.

Both players drew one and then checked down.

"King," Lipiner announced.

Hellmuth then tabled       and scooped the pot.

Kevin Gerhart

Dario Sammartino raised to 60,000 and Kevin Gerhart moved most of his stack of around 200,000 to the middle, leaving 25,000 behind. Rep Porter four-bet shoved for more than 600,000 and Sammartino got out of the way.

Gerhart called the last of his stack and drew one. Porter was pat.

Schwartz drew two and Porter drew one. Schwartz then led out for 100,000 and Porter called after a bit of thought.
