Day 1 of Event #23: $1,500 Eight Game Mix 6-Handed attracted 484 total entries creating a prize pool of $646,140. After 15 blind levels of 40 minutes each, 144 players advanced to Day 2 and are still in contention for the bracelet.

Sachin Bhargava bagged 273,400 in chips for the Day 1 chip lead with David Gee and Jay Kerbel also advancing to Day 2 with more than 200,000.

There are many notables returning for Day 2 to keep their chip stacks alive en route to a WSOP gold bracelet and the $137,969 first place cash prize that accompanies it including Josh Arieh, Michael Mizrachi, David Williams, Sean Perry, and Eli Elezra just to name a few. The action should be exciting and often tomorrow as this group of mixed game players continue onward towards WSOP coveted gold.

With this mixed game lineup, the action played quickly throughout the day. Chip stacks fluctuated as all-ins were commonplace early with a no-limit and pot-limit round combined with the unique six-max mix format. Expect much of the same tomorrow when the remaining players return to play ten 60-minute levels with a one-hour dinner break after Level 21, or at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time.
