Mikiyo Aoki Looks To One-Up Her 2014 Finish By Finally Seizing Victory In The WSOP Ladies Event

Mikiyo Aoki leads the final five of Event #22: Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the 2021 World Series of Poker.
Day 3 began with 17 players and five will return for the final table after nearly six hours of play. Aoki started the day as the chip leader and ended the day still in the pole position.
On Day 1, Aoki was one of only a few players who bagged over 100,000 chips. She was able to maintain a healthy stack throughout Day 2 capturing the chip lead by the end of play. She started Day 3 with 1,674,000 but at one point had dipped below the 1,000,000 mark. She was able to recover her stack and some by bagging 3,880,000 for the lead going into the final five. She'll look to improve upon her runner-up finish from 2014 where she cashed for $94,800.
The remaining four players returning for Day 4 are Debora Brooke, Diane Cooley, Lara Eisenberg, and Women's Poker Hall of Famer JJ Liu.

Marle Cordeiro couldn't capture her first WSOP gold bracelet but she made the final table and came up short of Day 4 finishing in seventh place for $14,791.
Some other casualties of the day were Amanda Baker (15th - $4,670), Cherish Andrews (8th - $11,341), and Qing Lu (6th - $19,619).
The final table of Event #22: Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship will be streamed on PokerGo on Thursday, October 14 at 4 p.m. local time.
Play will resume in Level 25 with 25,000/50,000 blinds and a 50,000 big blind ante and Day 4 will play down to a winner.
