Walter Browne was briefly at 645,000, before going to the river against James Richburg on a board of      . Richburg shows    for a runner-runner nine-high straight, and Browne stands up in disbelief. He mucks his cards, and is back down to 490,000. Richburg collects the pot calmly and quietly. A few minutes ago, Browne pointed out that the dealer forgot to move the button, because he was about to be the big blind twice in a row. He explained that the player to his right (Richburg) raised from the small blind on the previous hand. Brown then apologized for forgetting Richburg's name, and Richburg re-introduced himself as "Mason." At the moment, we're not sure if Mason is a nickname or an alias.

The final three players are proceeding cautiously through the Hold'em level, but they are seeing a fair share of flops. There hasn't been any heavy betting yet, but at any time, two players could wake up with big hands.
Monday, June 11, 2007 11:30 PM Local Time
(Hold'em) With the final board showing      , James Richburg checks the small blind, Walter Browne bets 40,000 from the big blind, and Richburg calls. Browne shows    for the ace-high straight, and Richburg mucks. Browne shrugs his shoulders, almost as if to apologize, as he collects the pot.
Monday, June 11, 2007 11:27 PM Local Time
(Hold'em) We've seen three flops in a row, but with one bet, the other players have folded. Walter Browne took two of the pots, and is increasing his stack a bit to 340,000.

(Seven Card Stud) Tom Schneider is all in on fifth street against James Richburg. The final boards show (in no particular order, because the cards were thrown quickly into a messy pile): James Richburg:         Tom Schneider:         Schneider has a pair of eights and a busted open-ended straight draw. Richburg wins the pot with a pair of kings. Tom Schneider is eliminated in fourth place, earning $54,913. So no double bracelet winner in 2007 -- yet.
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:35 PM Local Time
James Richburg bets 30,000 on fifth street with a pair of tens showing, and Tom Schneider folds. Richburg takes the pot, and Schneider drops down to about 85,000 in chips.
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:33 PM Local Time
(Seven Card Stud) Finally! Not only a fourth street, but a hand played all the way to a showdown: Chris Bjorin: X X      X James Richburg: X X      X Bjorin shows    to win the pot with a king-high club flush, and Richburg mucks. Bjorin takes the pot worth over 150,000.
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:30 PM Local Time
They're playing a lot of hands, but not many chips are moving. Everyone tosses in their antes, the low card posts the bring-in, someone else completes, and everyone folds. We haven't seen a fourth street yet.
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:19 PM Local Time
The players return from break to play 30 minutes of Seven Card Stud, with antes of 3,000, a 5,000 bring-in, a 15,000 completion, and limits of 15,000-30,000. Shuffle up and deal!
