Valden Doubles Through Donabedian

The double-ups keep rolling in at a rapid pace at this final table and once again, the shortest stack ended up with the best of it. It was Robert Valden who came in with a pot-sized raise. Andrew Donabedian three-bet from the big blind and Valden called all in for 6,500,000 total.

Tom Franklin Eliminated in 7th Place ($28,803)

Tom Franklin

Tom Franklin bet pot from the hijack which was 4,200,000. He had only 100,000 behind and big blind Corey Wright put him all in. Franklin quickly put his last 100,000 in the middle as well.

The board ran out       and Franklin was eliminated from the tournament by Wright.

Franklin did cash for $28,803 but he has to wait a little longer for his second bracelet.

Dreyer Doubles Through Ivan

On the button, Todd Dreyer announced "Pot," which meant a raise to 4,200,000. Alexandru Ivan shoved from the big blind and Dreyer called it off for 5,850,000 total.

The     flop put a set of nines out there for Ivan.

"So far so good!" he cheered. "Pair the board!"

Instead, the   turn and   river came to give Dreyer the double with a queen-high flush.

Ivan Makes Franklin Fold

Alexandru Ivan limped from early position and so did small blind Tom Franklin. Big blind Todd Dreyer checked his option and the     flop was dealt.

All three players checked and the   rolled off the deck. Franklin lead out with a bet of 2,000,000 and Dreyer got out of the way. Ivan then pushed his entire stack to the middle. the dealer counted it out and the bet was 8,350,000. Ivan had Franklin covered by 150,000.

Franklin thought about it for a minute before he let go of his hand.

Wright Sticks, Loses

Corey Wright limped in from the small blind and Andrew Donabedian checked his option. The flop was     and Wright check-called 1,200,000 from Donabedian. On the   turn, Wright stuck around and check-called a second barrel worth 2,700,000.

The river brought a third club with the   and both players checked. Wright revealed      but Donabedian had gotten there with the      for a rivered flush to win the hand.

Florian Fuchs Eliminated in 8th Place ($22,006)

Florian Fuchs

Fuchs was eliminated from the tournament after he started at the eight-handed final table second in chips. Fuchs finished in eighth place cashing for $22,006.

Corey Wright opened the action with a pot bet to 3,500,000 from middle position and Fuchs put his last 2,900,000 in the middle. The other players got out of the way and they opened up.

Wright had the lead with      against the      of Fuchs. Wright ended up with a flush after the dealer put       on the board to eliminate Fuchs.

Niste Doubles Through Ivan

Mihai Niste and Alexandru Ivan tangled before the flop and all the chips went to the middle. Niste was the player at risk with 7,600,000 and Ivan could do the dirty work if the cards fell right for him.

Niste is close to the top of the leaderboard after being down to just four big blinds in the previous level.

Ivan Gets "Lucky Too"

Alexandru Ivan shoved his entire stack of 7,200,000 forward from the cutoff, more than the maximum allotted pot-size of 3,500,000. Florian Fuchs elected to call from the big blind.

"Don't want to put me all in?" Ivan inquired but the pair would see the flop first instead.

The flop came down     and Fuchs checked. Ivan stuck the other 3,700,000 in and Fuchs beat him to the pot with a call.

"You got lucky. Now I need to get lucky too," Ivan assessed the situation. He most certainly did, as the   rolled off on the turn to send the table in a frenzy. The   on the river even improved him further to a wheel. Fuchs simply shook his head and slipped to 3,400,000.

Alexandru Ivan just doubled up another opponent. This time the chips went to Robert Valden. Valden pushed all in for his last 3,300,000 from the hijack and Ivan called from the cutoff. The other players folded and they opened up.

Niste Doubles Through Franklin

Mihai Niste potted it for 2,800,000 in the cutoff, Tom Franklin repotted on the button and Niste called all in for 3,200,000 total.

"Naww, hearts again," chuckled Franklin, referencing the flopped nut flush in the previous hand.

The flop was     and both players caught a four, but Niste filled up right away with the jack as well. The turn brought the   for an even bigger boat.

Franklin Triples to Chip Lead; Niste Wins Side to Stay Alive

It folded to Andrew Donabedian in the cutoff and he bet 2,200,000. Mihai Niste announced pot from the small blind but he didn't have enough to make it to 7,400,000 so he put all his chips in the middle. The dealer counted it out and it turned out to be 7,100,000 and Niste was all-in. Tom Franklin then put his last 5,500,000 in the middle and Donabedian called quickly.

Franklin called for hearts and he immediately flopped the nut flush when the flop fell    . Neither Donabedian or Niste caught up on the   turn and   river but Niste did manage to win the side pot to stay alive with 4 big blinds.

Donabedian Doubles Through Ivan

Alexandru Ivan raised on the button what appeared to be close to 2,500,000. Andrew Donabedian three-bet shoved 7,150,000 from the big blind.

"You're ahead," Ivan said before calling it off.

Donabedian tabled his hand first, prompting an instant "that's ahead?" inquiry from Tom Franklin. It was indeed (53% to 47%), and it remained ahead after the board came down       to give Donabedian the winner with fours full of sixes.

"You thought i was gonna fold?" Ivan asked, sporting a slightly cynical undertone. "Nice hand," he added, followed by a "good call," from Donabedian.

Ivan Wins Last Hand Before Break

Andrew Donabedian opened with a pot bet of 2,100,000 and big blind Tom Franklin defended. The flop fell     and Franklin checked. Donabedian pushed his last 4,000,000 in the middle and that was enough to make Franklin get out of the way and take the pot without showdown.

Robert Valden bet pot as he slid a stack of green 100,000 chips worth 2,100,000 to the middle and he was called by Corey Wright on the button. Both players in the blinds got out of the way.

Small Pot to Ivan

It folded around to small blind Alexandru Ivan and he laughed before he looked at his cards. He limped after he took a peek and said ''my friend!'' to Corey Wright in the big blind who let out a little laugh himself.

Wright checked to see the     flop appear and both players checked to see the   turn. Ivan bet 600,000 on the turn and he was called by Wright.

Ivan bet another 1,000,000 on the river and that was enough to make Wright fold.
