Pedro Marques shipped all in for just shy of 200,000 in the cutoff and Ari Engel gave it some thought in the big blind. Engel eventually called and the cards were tabled with Marques in a dominating position.

Hoffman Makes Good Fold (According to Engel)
WIlbern Hoffman check-called until the river vs. preflop raiser Ari Engel, 80,000 on the flop and 175,000 on the turn. When Engel bet 260,000 on the river, Hoffman (whose drink order arrived just at this crucial juncture) wheedled for a show from Engel, counted out the call and finally folded his hand.
"It would be good for the game if I could show a bluff," said Engel. "Good fold."

Another Double for Sammer
Pedro Marques and Harald Sammer got all of their chips in the middle preflop and it was Sammer who was at risk for 326,000.

The action folded to Michael Finstein who raised it up to 60,000 on the button. David "Bakes" Baker three-bet to 180,000 in the small blind and Finstein thought for a minute before shoving all in for a little over 600,000. Baker instantly called and the cards were on their backs.

Hughes Gets Involved, Short Stack or No
James Hughes has been involved in three hands in one orbit, losing two and winning one. The first loss was of a preflop 60,000 which he released when Ben Keeline shoved over the top. In the second, Hughes raised to 54,000 under the gun, called by Pablo Melogno in the big blind. Melogno check-called his 60,000 bet on the flop, and the turn and river were checked down; Melogno won with at showdown.
Shortly thereafter Josh Arieh raised his button to 65,000 and Hughes called from the big blind. Hughes checked the flop, Arieh bet 50,000 and Hughes buried the lower part of his face in his hoody and tanked for several minutes, his reflective sunglasses showing the flop in reverse in perfect stillness.
Finally, he announced, "All in," and Arieh folded, bringing Hughes back up over half a million in chips.

David "Bakes" Baker raised it up from under the gun and Josh Arieh stuck in a three-bet to 185,000 on his left. Ian Steinman was down to just 70,000 after losing the previous hand and he stuck his chips in the middle from the small blind. Baker four-bet shoved all in and Arieh instantly folded.

Pedro Marques raised it up from the cutoff and Ari Engel defended his big blind. The flop came and Engel check-called a bet of 62,000 from Marques. Ryan Olisar and Michael Finstein have taken down the first river-reaching pots of the new level. Olisar's was built blind on blind vs. Pedro Marques: he limped and Marques checked to see a flop. Olisar check-raised Marques' flop bet of 45,000 to 150,000 and received a call. Action slowed completely on the turn and when the river was checked through, Olisar showed for a flopped two pair to win the pot.
On the second table, Ben Keeline opened for 48,000 and Michael Finstein called in position, along with big blind James Hughes. Hughes folded to Keeline's 60,000 bet on the flop, Finstein didn't. Both players checked the turn, Keeline check-folding the river.

After doubling Truyen Nguyen, Baitai Li has had to steer one of the shorter stacks through the tournament for the first time in days. He has moved all in in late position repeatedly (so far uncalled), the last time for just under 400,000.
