On the button, Adrian Scarpa moved all in for 2,850,000. Tommy Nguyen took his time in the small blind before reshoving all in and Brett Apter folded the big blind.

"Ace-eight versus ace-five!" Scarpa yelled to his rail in the Thunderdome, who anxiously jumped on their feet to watch the action unfold. The     flop paired up Nguyen's inferior kicked, and the rail let an "Oh God!" escape in anguish.

"Seven baby!" they quickly rooted, but neither the   turn nor   river would turn it around for their champion. The Foxwoods regular saw a fantastic run come to an end in fourth place, worth a payday of $77,591.

Tommy Nguyen has been trending nothing but up after the dinner break and just dragged another sizable pot to move himself up over the 5M mark. After raising on the button and Anatolii Zyrin defending his big blind, Nguyen saw a     flop appear and checked behind.

Zyrin bet 250,000 on the   turn and Nguyen swiftly called. On the   river, Zyrin casually splashed in 650,000 and Nguyen called after thirty seconds. Zyrin held nothing more than    and Nguyen took it down with

Apter Folds to Nguyen's Shove

Brett Apter raised to 400,000 on the cutoff and Tommy Nguyen, in the big blind, called.

The dealer spread a flop of    , and Nguyen check-called a bet of 375,000 from Apter.

Apter Gets Value From Nguyen

In a blind-on-blind confrontation, Tommy Nguyen bet 175,000 on a     flop and Brett Apter called. On the   turn, Nguyen checked, Apter bet 420,000, and Nguyen called.

The river was the   and Nguyen checked. Apter took his time, rhythmically shuffling his chips, before settling on a bet of 900,000. Nguyen took around five seconds to flick in a calling ship, but Apter showed him the winner with    for a flopped two pair.

Manuel Ruivo Eliminated in 5th Place ($57,326)

Manuel Ruivo

Anatolii Zyrin limped in the cutoff, and Manuel Ruivo, in the small blind, raised to 675,000. Zyrin stuck around with a call.

A flop of     was dealt, and Ruivo threw in a bet of 755,000. Zyrin responded by moving all in for about 4,900,000. Ruivo took a few seconds of reflection but then made the call, putting the last of his chips at risk.

Zyrin Doubles Through Ruivo

Anatolii Zyrin open-shoved 2,690,000 on the button and Adrian Scarpa folded the small blind. Manuel Ruivo, however, instantly flicked in a calling chip to put Zyrin at risk.

Ruivo was ahead at the start and remained ahead after the flop fell    . The turn   put Zyrin one card away from elimination, but he spiked the   on the river to save his tournament life and double up. Visibly disgusted by the outcome, Ruivo paid off the requisite amount.

Anatolii Zyrin opened to 240,000 from the hijack, and Cary Katz, on the button, called. Manuel Ruivo, in the small blind, three-bet to 1,000,000. Tommy Nguyen, in the big blind, four-bet shoved for 1,825,000. Zyrin and Katz gave up their hands. Ruivo took a few seconds of reflection, then made the call.

After the break, it's been a relatively quiet phase with some smaller pots being contested and barely anything going to showdown. In the last one, Tommy Nguyen raised and Adrian Scarpa defended. Scarpa Getting Involved

Adrian Scarpa raised and Anatolii Zyrin called from the big blind. On an     flop, Zyrin checked, Scarpa bet 175,000, Zyrin check-raised to 450,000, and Scarpa called. The   turn went check/check.

Zyrin flicked in one of the new blue T-500,000 chips on the   river and Scarpa quickly winged his cards into the muck. However, with some aggression he would win it back and more shortly after.

First, he three-bet a 210,000 open from Manuel Ruivo to 575,000 in the big blind. Ruivo called but folded the     flop. Next, it was Zyrin who raised to 200,000, Scarpa three-bet again, this time to 700,000 in the small blind, and Zyrin folded.

Anatolii Zyrin opened to 200,000 from early position, and Tommy Nguyen, in the big blind, called.

A flop reading     was dealt and checked through to the   turn. Nguyen checked once more, and Zyrin bet 225,000. Nguyen check-called.

The   filled up the river, and Nguyen checked for a third time. Zyrin fired a bet of 875,000 and Nguyen threw in a chip, signifying a call.
