Jon Turner raised in the small blind and Dan Zack called in the big. Each took two and checked then took two more. Turner bet, Zack raised and Turner called off his last 24,000. Turner pulled a card and Zack patted.

"I have a seven," Zack announced, tabling a seven-six.

Turner immediately slid back and turned over     , a dead draw to an eight.

Zack Adds More and More

Badugi

Dan Zack raised and Brayden Gazlay three-bet in position. Zack called and took two while Gazlay needed one. Zack let Gazlay fire and then check-raised, earning a call.

The second draw was patted by Zack and Gazlay still wanted to improve. He called another bet and both players patted the final round. Zack bet one more time, but Gazlay figured out he was beat.

Jake Schwartz raised blind versus blind and Dan Zack called. Schwartz needed one and Zack two and Schwartz bet again. Zack called and they both drew one. Schwartz checked this time and called a bet from Zack, leaving 7,000 back. They drew again and Schwartz checked. Zack bet.

After about a minute, Schwartz opted to save it for one last stand.

"I can't win," he muttered.

The next hand, Brayden Gazlay raised under the gun. Schwartz called it off and Jesse Hampton called in the big blind. Hampton took one, Gazlay was pat and Schwartz took one. Hampton check-called a bet, draws remained the same, and Hampton check-called off his last 37,000.

Again, draws repeated, and Gazlay showed      for a rough pat badugi.

Hampton was drawing smooth with     but picked up a worthless  . We didn't see Schwartz's draw but he wound up with      to miss as well.

Hampton Survives Again

A-5 Triple Draw

Jake Schwartz raised and Jesse Hampton called for his last 37,000. The remaining players let their hands go and Hampton needed to beat one opponent to stay afloat. He took one and Schwartz drew two on the first draw, but the following rounds saw Schwartz pat. Hampton took one again and patted his       on the final draw, besting Schwartz' seven-six.

Jesse Hampton raised on the button and Brayden Gazlay reraised in the big blind. Hampton called and both drew one. They checked and drew one again and Gazlay bet, with Hampton giving it up and preserving his last 75,000.

A-5 Triple Draw

Jon Turner isn't having it much better. He called from the button after Sumir Mathur opened on his right. They each drew two and Mathur check-called then drew two again. Turner took one and Mathur check-called again. Both drew a final card and Mathur checked. Turner quickly bet and Mathur tanked about 30 seconds then called.

Turner shook his head and just pointed at Mathur, who tabled      .

Hampton Doubles With Wheel

Jesse Hampton raised under the gun, Brayden Gazley three-bet in the next position and called when Hampton shoved for 75,000.

On the first draw, Hampton drew two, Gazlay one. The took one apiece on the remaining draws. Hampton turned up       for the nuts, and while Gazlay could still chop with     , he quickly peeled a   to confirm Hampton's double.

Jon Turner raised and David Gee three-bet all in for 54,000 in the small blind. Turner called and each player drew two. Then, each drew one. Then, Gee drew one and Turner had a decision.

"I don't know ace well enough," he said with a sigh as he thought.

Finally, he patted and rolled over      . Gee turned over      for a strong draw.

"Squeeze it," someone in the crowd urged.

Gee did but shook his head and turned over a   for a pair.

Turner Takes from Hampton

Jesse Hampton raised from early position and Jon Turner was his only caller. Hampton drew one, Turner two, and the action repeated on the second draw with Turner calling a bet in the meantime.

He called again after the second draw and Hampton stood pat. Turner discarded one and the final round was checked. Turner quickly turned up a nine, followed by the rest of his hand and his       was good enough to beat Hampton's holdings.

David Gee raised and Jake Schwartz defended big blind. Schwartz took two and Gee patted. Schwartz checked, Gee bet and Schwartz called then drew one. Gee remained pat and bet again, with Schwartz calling and taking a final card. Schwartz checked without looking and Gee checked back.

"Perfect. Badugi." said Schwartz as he rolled over     .

"It's called a wheel," Dan Zack jested.

"I'm just mad I didn't bet," said Schwartz.

Gee Wins a Critical Pot

Badugi

David Gee raised in the cutoff and Sumir Mathur defended his big blind. They drew two apiece on the first draw and Mathur took the betting lead, earning a call. He peeled one on the next draw while Gee still needed two. Mathur bet again and Gee called.

The final draw saw both players change one card and Mathur checked this time. Gee fired and Mathur took his time before calling. Gee had only a three-card badugi but his      was good enough as Mathur sent his cards to the muck.

Jon Turner raised, Dan Zack three-bet in the small blind and David Gee cold-called. Turner made it three to the draw. Zack took one, Gee two and Turner three. Zack bet and the others called. Everyone improved by one and Zack bet again. Gee called and Turner folded. Zack patted, Gee took one, and Zack bet and won the pot.

The next hand, Zack raised on the button and Gee called in the small blind. Both took one and Gee check-called. Both took one again, action checked through and they drew once more. Check-check and Zack won with a three-card six.

Zack Doesn't Stop

A-5 Triple Draw

Dan Zack raised under the gun and found three callers as Sumir Mathur called on the button and Jon Turner plus Jake Schwartz joined from the blinds. Turner took one, Schwartz two, Zack one, and Mathur two.

Zack fired again and only Schwartz left the contest. Turner and Zack peeled one and Mathur still needed two. Zack continued barrelling and only Turner was willing to make it all the way to the final draw.

He called and drew one while Zack stood pat. Zack fired again and Turner wanted to see his cards, paying the final bet. Zack announced a six, turning up       and Turner finished second. Zack added another sizeable chunk to his piles, solidifying his lead.

"Pair of sevens," a resigned Schwartz announced.

Then, Zack raised the next hand and David Gee called on his left. They each took two and Zack check-called. Zack took two and Gee one. Zack checked, Gee bet and Zack raised. Gee called and peeled a final card after Zack patted. Zack won the pot with a final bet and he's into seven figures.

Mathur check-called and continued drawing one. Schwartz stood pat and earned another check-call from Mathur. The last draw went one-pat again and Mathur called yet another bet.

"Six," Schwartz announced, quickly opening      to seize the pot.

Then, Schwartz raised on the button and Gee defended his own big blind. Both took two and Gee bet. Schwartz called and drew two again but Gee was ahead drawing one. Gee bet and Schwartz called. Each player took a card. Gee bet a final time and Schwartz called.

Schwartz checked, Zack bet, and Schwartz came back with a check-raise. Zack called.

Schwartz stood pat while Zack still needed to change one. Schwartz fired one last bet and Zack paused for a while before tossing in the calling chips.

"Three threes," Schwartz quickly announced, proving it by showing the trips. Zack opened       to prove he had to make a gutsy decision to scoop the pot.
