David Gee

Turner Smells Bluff But Can't Call

2-7 Triple Draw

Jon Turner raised in the cutoff, Jake Schwartz three-bet in position, and Turner called. Both players peeled two and Turner fired a check-raise. Schwartz three-bet again and Turner called. The second draw saw each player change one card and Turner check-called before drawing one again. Schwartz patted and fired one more bet.

"Three sevens and three deuces," Turner said while shaking his head. He suspected a bluff but he released his hand, leaving the pot to his neighbor.

Turner Barrels Patted Hand

2-7 Triple Draw

David Gee raised under the gun and the action stopped at Jon Turner who re-raised from the button. Gee called and took one while Turner stood pat. The same pattern followed on the remaining two draws with Gee check-calling Turner's bets prior to each draw. However, Gee didn't peel what he needed and finally check-folded on the river, allowing Turner to claim the pot without exposing his hand.

Turner Drops Two

2-7 Triple Draw

Jon Turner raised early and David Gee called on the button. Both drew two and Turner bet. Gee called and they each improved to a one-card draw. Turner check-called this time and drew, while Gee patted. Turner check-folded the end.

Then, Dan Zack raised and Turner defended big blind. Both drew two and Turner check-called then drew two again. He found himself far behind in the draw as Zack patted. Turner check-called again nonetheless and he was pat. Zack patted back and bet the end.
