Josh Arieh raised the button and Bryce Yockey defended his big blind to see an     flop.

Yockey checked, Arieh bet, and Yockey check-raised. Arieh called and then both players checked the   turn.

When the   completed the board on the river, Yockey checked and folded when Arieh tossed out a bet.

Bryce Yockey raised from under the gun, and Phil Hui made it three bets from the cutoff. Yockey called.

On the     flop, Yockey bet and Hui called.

Yockey checked the   turn, then called a bet from Hui.

Yockey bet the   river, and Hui raised. Yockey called, tabling      for a jack-high straight and a low. Hui showed      for the same straight and the nut low, and he quartered Yockey.

Shaun Deeb completed with a ten and John Esposito, who had brought in, called with a four.

They checked to sixth street where Deeb's board improved to four-to-a-straight. He bet and Esposito called.

Both players checked the river and Esposito took it down with a pair of kings as Deeb couldn't squeeze a better river card.

Phil Hui brought it in showing the   and Josh Arieh completed. Shaun Deeb then raised it, Hui folded, and Arieh just called.

Arieh called a bet on fourth before checking on fifth. Deeb bet and Arieh woke up with a check-raise. That did the trick as Deeb released his hand after pondering for a few moments.

Arieh then showed him his aces in the hole.

Yockey took the lead on fifth street and bet, which chased out Esposito. Arieh raised, prompting Yockey to peek back at his hole cards before calling. Yockey checked sixth street and Arieh bet. Yockey spent a minute in the tank before calling.

Seventh street was checked through, and Yockey showed     for kings up. Arieh showed     for three sixes, however, and Arieh took down the pot.

Two Three-Bets from Yockey

No-Limit Hold'em

The first no-limit hold'em round hasn't brought any major confrontation. Bryce Yockey was the most active player, three-betting twice. He forced folds on both occasions.

Yockey first made it 500,000 out of the big blind, following Josh Arieh's 130,000-raise from the button.

His second three-bet came versus Shaun Deeb who opened the cutoff to 140,000 and folded when Yockey made it 400,000 on his left.

Deeb changed two again while Yockey improved to a one-card draw. Deeb checked, Yockey bet, and Deeb called.

Deeb needed one on the last draw and Yockey stood pat. Deeb check-called one more time and Yockey showed      , which prompted Deeb to muck.

Esposito Pat-Folds After Last Draw

Bryce Yockey raised the cutoff and John Esposito called from the small blind. Josh Arieh came along from the big and the trio each drew two cards.

Two checks saw Yockey continue and both his opponents called. All three players drew one and it was Esposito who came out with a bet. Both Arieh and Yockey called and drew one apiece while Esposito stood pat.

Esposito checked and that opened the door for Arieh to bet. Yockey got out of the way and Esposito studied Arieh long and hard. At one point it looked as if Esposito was going for calling chips and that got a reaction from Arieh, who looked as if he was going to table his hand.

The motion may have influenced Esposito who ultimately laid down his hand.
