Scott Clements raised in the cutoff and both Craig Chait and Dario Sammartino came along from the blinds. Sammartino led out on the     flop and Clements raised, prompting a fold from Chait. Sammartino called and no more bets were made on the   and   runout.

There was no major action in the Hold'em hands and one pot was chopped with a queen-high straight on the board. Daniel Ospina then claimed the blinds when the game switched to Omaha Hi-Lo and that vaulted the Colombian into a narrow lead.

Ospina Scoops Against Sammartino

Daniel Ospina brought in, Craig Chait completed, and Dario Sammartino called. Ospina called as well and Sammartino hit a pair of sixes on fourth. He led out and both of his opponents called to continue to the next street. Ospina had three low cards out and he fired, getting a fold from Chait. Sammartino continued and he called one more bet on sixth.

They checked the last street and Ospina, who hadn't made the low despite a strong board, was still able to scoop the whole pot with two pair, eights and deuces.

Not much had been going Craig Chait's way in the first level of the day, but Chait is now laddering through the provisional leaderboard, thanks to a streak of hands in stud. The last one came when he completed and Scott Clements raised. Chait called and then called on fourth before he led out on fifth with three spade cards out. Clements took nearly a minute to figure out what to do, and then he opted to fold.
