Kihara's Queens Win

Naoya Kihara checked from under the gun on      . His opponent on the button bet 7,000 into a pot of around 20,000. Kihara took some thinking time, double-checked his cards, then called.

"Ace-high," Kihara's opponent announced.

Kihara opened    and took it down. A player across the table guessed that Kihara was thinking of raising and he smiled and admitted that may have been the case.

Leng Shows the Big Bluff

Ryan Leng

On a flop of     there was roughly 22,000 already brewed in the pot, Ryan Leng check-raised his opponents' 7,100 to 35,000 and he called.

The   fell on the turn and Leng wasted no time announcing he was all-in. Leng had approximately 153,000 behind and his opponent had slightly left. His opponent muttered something along the lines of "any other card," as he mucked his hand.

Leng's neighbor begged him to show, and Leng obliged and showed    for ace-high.

Newland's Flush Gets Some River Value

Vincent Newland bet 12,000 into a pot of 16,000 on a       board from under the gun, and his opponent next to act went into the tank. After about ninety seconds, Newland's opponent announced a call, but his    would be sent to the muck after Newland showed his    for a rivered runner-runner flush.

Set For Weissman

Joey Weissman raised from under the gun and received two callers before the flop fell    .

The player in the big blind checked, as did Weissman before the final player bet 4,000 from middle position. Only Weissman called, and they went heads-up to the   turn.

Both players checked, and when the   hit the river, Weissman checked for the third time. The American saw his opponent check behind to a showdown and Weissman tabled    for a set, and took down the pot.

Kaplan Wins Flip to Bust Chiu

Two near-identical shorter stacks clashed on the main feature table. Jordan Kaplan raised to 3,500 first to act and Sai Chiu jammed the big blind for 53,700, which Kaplan called.

Foxen Can't Pull the Third Trigger

Alex Foxen opened from under the gun and was called by David Rounick on the button. The flop came     and Foxen continued for 3,500. Rounick called and the   landed on the turn.

Foxen fired out another bet of 6,500 but Rounick stuck around to see the   on the river. Foxen checked this time and Rounick quickly checked it back. Foxen turned over    for a missed flush draw and Rounick held    for a missed flush draw as well. Foxen flung his cards to the muck, knowing that one more bet likely would have won him the pot.

Vanbruggen Flops the Straight

The board read      with around 24,000 in the middle already.

Rick Vanbruggen checked in the big blind and Igor Kurganov made it 17,500 from the late position. Dustin Lee was sitting in the hijack, contemplating his options, but ended up folding while Vanbruggen made the call.

The river completed the board with the  , Vanbruggen checked and so did Kurganov. Vanbruggen showed he held    for the flopped straight and that was enough for Kurganov to push his cards over the line for the muck.

Maria Mcalpin raised in early position to 4,600, the table folded around to the button who three-bet to 12,000, the blinds folded and Mcalpin four-bet to 25,000 and the button called.

The flop fell     and Mcalpin fired out a bet of 25,000 and that was good enough to take down the pot as the button mucked his cards.

Karakousis Makes a Flush

A player in the big blind bet 6,000 facing a      board, and Georgios Karakousis quickly called from under the gun.

The   fell on the river, and the big blind bet 6,000 once more, and Karakousis almost beat the big blind in the pot with a call.

The big blind tabled    for top pair, but Karakousis had rivered a flush with his    to take the pot.

On a flop reading    , Rachid Amamou checked from the big blind along with Daniel Strelitz under the gun and the player on the button.

The dealer burned and turned the   and Amamou checked again. Strelitz bet 5,000 and the button called. Amamou check-raised to 15,000. Strelitz folded and the button called.

The   completed the board and Amamou fired a bet of 35,000. His opponent went deep into the tank, then gave up his hand.

"Good fold," muttered Amamou turning over    for tens full of aces.
