Kary Cracks Aces With Ace-King

Chris Dombrowski had 13,000 in front of him on the button, with Thiago Macedo already all in for 12,100 in middle position. On his left, Gregory Kary made it 45,000 and Dombrowski responded by shoving all in. He had around 210,000, covering the 123,000 or so of Kary.

"Trying to decide if I want to gamble," Kary muttered. "All right, I call."

Kary was way behind, in fact, with    against   . Macedo had   .

The     flop brought the flush draw Kary was looking for though, and he got there instantly on the   turn, leaving everyone drawing dead.

Strelitz Works in a Check-Raise

Daniel Strelitz checked a     flop from the small blind, and Jason Resha bet 2,200 into a pot of 5,000. A player in middle position called, and Strelitz woke up with a check-raise to 8,000.

Resha immediately folded, while the middle position player paused for just a moment before sliding his cards over to the dealer, and Strelitz took down the pot.

Karakousis Sends Kabrhel to the Rail

Martin Kabrhel

The action began with a player in the hijack raising to 1,800, Martin Kabrhel was next to act and three-bet to 7,000, the button folded and Georgios Karakousis threw in 1,800 not noticing the raise to 8,000, and then after the dealer told him he put in the rest of the 8,000 to complete the call and the original raiser mucked his hand.

On the flop of     Karakousis checked to Kabrhel who bet out 7,000 and Karakousis check-raised to 17,000. Kabrhel made the call.

The   fell on the turn and Karakousis fired out again, this time for 18,000 and Kabrel called.

The river was the  , Karakousis checked and Kabrel announced all-in for 130,200. Karakousis didn't take much time before making the call. Kabrel tabled    and Karakousis eliminated Kabrel when he tabled the    for trip queens.

Negreanu Eliminated by Ferrah

Daniel Negreanu

Chris Wallace raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, Daniel Negreanu three-bet to 6,000 from the button, Meddi Ferrah four-bet to 15,500 from the small blind, Wallace folded and Negreanu called.

The flop was    , Ferrah shoved with a covering stack and Negreanu thought for about 20 seconds before he called all in for about 17,000.

Buonanno Jams Into Pires Trigo

Antonio Buonanno raised to 1,900 and Paul Pires Trigo three-bet to 6,000. Buonanno waved with his hand to see the stack of his opponent and then made the call. They checked the     flop and Pires Trigo bet the   turn for 6,000 when checked to him.

Buonanno pushed forward a stack of T-5,000, enough to cover the Frenchman, and Pires Trigo elected to fold.

A Double and Triple Up for Greco

Mina Greco

Mina Greco was all in for the last 4,600 with    and initial raiser Matt Stout called from under the gun with the   . Greco was ready to leave and already stood up from her chair, but the board of       kept her in the lead.

Stalba Folds Ace-King

The player under the gun raised to 2,700 and the player in mid-position called. Thomas Stalba three-bet to 10,000 from one seat over and the player under the gun folded. The player in mid-position four-bet to about 60,000 and Stalba, with only 18,000 behind, thought for a long while then folded   .face up.

Thibodaux Stays Active

Sergi Reixach raised to 1,600 from the hijack and Joshua Thibodaux defended his big blind. They both checked through the     flop to the   on the turn. Thibodaux led out for 2,100 and that was enough to pick up the pot.

The hand right after, Aaron Mermelstein raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by both Thibodaux and Sara Hall in the blinds.

The flop came    , Thibodaux bet 2,200 and Hall quickly folded. Mermelstein took some time to consider his options and then decided to make the call.

The turn was the   and Thibodaux quickly checked. Mermelstein contemplated for a while and then decided to bet 7,000 for Thibodaux to fold.

Yen Wins Four-Bet Pot

Alex Yen was in the hijack with what looked to be a four-bet to 17,000 in front of him. His opponent in the cutoff had made it 6,500 and was thinking things over. Finally, the player tossed in calling chips and they saw a     flop. Yen bet 11,000 and won the pot in short order.

Kabrhel Turns Silver Into Gold

Martin Kabrhel opened to 1,600 in early position and was called by Edward Ho on his left. Bob Beck also came along from the big blind and the flop came    . Beck checked to Kabrhel who continued for 1,600 and Ho folded. Beck called and the   landed on the turn.

Amidst all of Kabrhel's chatter, Ho chimed in after he folded. "At least you're guaranteed second place now."

"Yes. I'm guaranteed a silver medal at the WSOP. That's pretty good," Kabrhel continued.

Both players checked the turn and the   river. Beck turned over    but Kabrhel held    to claim the pot. "Wow! Look at this run I'm on. I never win with you watching," Kabrhel said to PokerNews. "For sure I win this tournament."

Choudhury Three-Bets the Flop

Sulabh Choudhury raised under-the-gun to 2,000 and the action folded around to the big blind who defended.

Before the flop of     came out the big blind announced he checked. Choudhury continued for 2,000, his opponent then check-raised to 4,000 and Choudhury wasted no time putting in a three-bet to 13,200 and the big blind mucked.

Garg Wins One, Loses One to Bust

The     flop was on the felt, and Lokesh Garg had just jammed his last 24,300 in after his initial bet had been raised to 9,000 by Sohale Khalili on the button. Khalili eventually folded, flashing an   as he did, and Garg followed suit, flashing his own  .

"I had one of those, but I had a much better one," Garg told his opponent.

A few hands later, he was seen leaving his table, saying, "Nuts," out loud while his opponent nodded, and Garg headed home.

Lau Jams Into Heidorn

A pot of 57,000 had emerged until the      turn and Robert Heidorn checked out of the small blind. Alan Lau moved all in from late position for what appeared to be 42,000 and Heidorn, who had Lau covered, gave it some consideration before sending his cards into the muck.
