Greenwood Chipping Up

There was around 10,000 in the middle on a      board and Sam Greenwood checked. Alessandro Laubinger checked the turn behind.

When Vaughan Reaches, They Fold

Matt Vaughan

Matt Vaughan raised to 1,500 from middle position, and found a caller in the cutoff.

After the     flop fell, Vaughan reached for chips to bet, and the cutoff instantly mucked before Vaughan could make a wager.

"How does he know? How does he know?" Vaughan said with a grin, flashing    before chucking his hand to the muck.

Distefano Adda Chips to his Stack

With just 10,600 chips left behind, Vito Distefano put out a bet for 10,000 on the river, with the board reading      . Dor Adda took a while, not looking pleased, to make a decision on a call or a fold.

Warken Loses a Flip

Tyler Warken was down to less than 30,000 chips and was facing a raise from middle position. Warken stuck in a three-bet on the button and his opponent four-bet shoved all in. Warken was facing a decision for his tournament life and he gave it some thought but called off his stack.

Adelstein's Growing Stack Gets a Small Setback

Garrett Adelstein had 1,500 in front of him in the big blind, and was contemplating an all-in bet from Christopher Andreone in early position for 14,400. Adelstein eventually tossed in calling chips.

Shakerchi Makes Correct Call

Talal Shakerchi

The player in the hijack raised to 1,200 and he was called by three others, including Talal Shakerchi in the big blind. All four checked on the     flop to see the   on the turn.

Shakerchi led out with a bet of 3,000 on the turn and only the initial raiser stuck around. Shakerchi checked on the   river. He then faced a bet of 15,000 in a pot that had 9,900 in it.

Hu Chipping Up

David Hu has been quietly beavering away in the far corner of Brasilia. His latest chips came after Hu check-clicked to 4,000 over another player's 2,000 bet on a     flop. Barrett Puts Peters to the Test

David Peters

Dennis Barrett has just held his own in a hand with one of the most successful poker players of all time. Barrett raised the button and David Peters three-bet to 8,500 in the big blind. Barrett had another 30,000 behind and he committed all of it. Peters went deep into the tank, until eventually another player called clock on him. Before the time had elapsed, Peters made the call and he had the same hand as Barrett, both holding ace-king in the hole. With no four-flush on the board, the players chopped it up.

Barshak Applies Full Pressue

On a board that read      Aaron Kweskin bet 10,200. Stanislav Barshak raised to 21,000 and Kweskin called.

The river came the  . Barshak put a stack of chips in the middle that equalled about 55,000 which was almost the entire amount of Kweskin's stack. Kweskin thought it over for about half a minute before releasing his cards to the pressure.

Bad Flop for Kalev

Toru Wakamatsu raised to 1,300 in the hijack and Petar Kalev three-bet to 5,200 out of the small blind. Wakamatsu paused for a moment and then he matched the price.
