Trofimov Bets Pot

Dragos Trofimov was in a hand with Neal Liptak just now and action was on the turn with      out and 7,500 in the middle.

Liptak checked to Trofimov who bet 7,000 and the pot-sized bet gave the American something to think about. He went into the tank and it looked like he was close to making a call, counting out the chips needed but in the end he thought better of it and laid it down.

Ahmed Wins With Rockets

Owais Ahmed opened to 1,200 from early position and received calls from players in the hijack and big blind. The flop came     and both the big blind and Ahmed checked. The hijack then bet 2,500, getting a fold from the big blind and a call from Ahmed.

The turn was   and both players checked. The river then came   and both players checked again.

Ahmed tabled    and took down the pot with a pair of aces.

Kenny Hallaert raised to 800 in middle position before the button three-bet to 1,600.

Hallaert called, and then both players checked the     flop.

Riordan Goes Big on the River

Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian opened to 1,000 in middle position and John Riordan defended from the big blind. The flop fell     and Riordan check-called a bet of 1,400 from Grigorian, amidst a flurry of table chatter.

The turn was the   and Grigorian was out of his seat at this point. Riordan checked again and Grigorian checked it back, stating "Too much distraction. I have to check."

The river brought the   and Riordan checked for the third time. Grigorian made a small bet of 1,000. "Let's see if you have a club," he said. Riordan responded with a big check-raise to 20,000 and Grigorian got his answer. "Ahh, you do have a club. Too big of a raise. A little smaller and I would have called." Grigorian sent his cards to the muck and Riordan moved over 200,000 chips.

Bock Busts to Schulz

Joining the action on the     , Gregory Bock made it 3,000 to go and Robert Schulz called to see the   on the river. Bock now fired a bet of 4,000 and Schulz raised to 16,200 after some consideration.

Bock pushed all in for some more and Schulz essentially beat him into the pot, rolled over    for the nut straight. Bock tabled his    for two pair and immediately left the tournament area.

Efland Two Pair Makes Two Times the Stack

The deatils leading up to this showdown are unclear, but Zachary Efland doubled up through Vincent Gourlaouen on a       board, with the flopped two pair holding up through the river.

Mather Wins it on the River

From the small blind, Michael Mather bet 1,600 into a pot of 6,000 on a     board, and the big blind called. A player in middle position raised to 5,600, Mather called, and the big blind folded.

Tsang Gets Frisky in the Big Blind

Hugo Pingray raised it up from the hijack and Anson Tsang three-bet to 3,400 from the big blind. Pingray just called and the dealer fanned the flop of    . Tsang continued for 4,000 and Pingray thought for a minute before calling.

Zamani Releases on the Flop

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Benjamin Zamani raised to 1,100 in middle position and was met with a three-bet from the button to 3,500.

The blinds folded, and Zamani called as the flop landed    .

Zamani checked and his opponent bet 3,000 which prompted a quick fold from Zamani.

Keith Carter raised under-the-gun to 1,200, the action folded around to the cutoff who called and button and blinds mucked.

On a      board, Robert Stuve checked in the hijack to an opponent on the button.

The button put out a bet for 5,000, and Stuve raised to 15,100. Stuve's opponent thanked for a bit before mucking, chipping Stuve up to 65,000.

Ananchaperumal Runs Kings Into Aces

The cards of Dhesikan Ananchaperumal were already scooped up while Fabio Freitas dragged in the pot, as he had rivered a full house with    on a board of      . Ananchaperumal vaulted out of his seat, went on to explain that he was all in with kings for around 30,000 and saw his fortune run out on the river.

"Good game man," Dylan Linde said in table chat. The same table now also features Scott Baumstein with a big stack, while Bas de Laat and Darryll Fish had been seated there from the beginning.

Hesp Eliminated by Carroll

John Hesp

On one of the outer feature tables, John Hesp's run in the 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event has come to a conclusion courtesy of Taylor Carroll.

On a flop of    , Carroll bet out and Hesp raised. Carroll shoved and Hesp called all in holding    to be up against Carroll's   .

Hesp was in the lead with his ace-high and nut flush draw, but when the turn and river landed the   and  , Carroll completed his straight and eliminated Hesp.

As Hesp exited the feature table area he gave each player a jovial handshake, and then concluded it with a fist-pump to one of the ESPN camera operators.
