Vang Busts to Park on Main Feature

The main feature table includes such big names as Patrik Truong, Jim Collopy, Johnny Chan, and Jose Montes, but none of them were involved in the latest all-in showdown. On the flop of    , Hye "Henry" Park check-called the shove of Paul Vang for 55,000 with the    for top two pair.

The action folded around to Ryan Messick on the button and he raised to 10,000. The small blind folded and Henrik Hecklen moved all in from the big blind for about 60,000. Messick snap-called, turning over    and Hecklen showed   .

Maimone Gets a Fold

With a substantial pot already brewing and the board reading     , the big blind bet, Nick Maimone called from under the gun, and a player in middle position folded.

The   hit the river and the big blind checked. Maimone bet 63,000, the big blind folded, and Maimone took the pot. He flashed the   as he tossed his cards in.

"I always like to show one... the mystery," explained Maimone as he stacked his newly acquired chips.

Bad Day at the Office for Liu

Xuan Liu

One table was still playing seven minutes into the last break and the completed board showed      . William Hickey had checked in late position and Xuan Liu bet 15,000 on the button. Hickey check-raised to 100,000, essentially giving Liu the option to fold or continue with a short stack.

After some consideration, Liu called and Hickey turned over the    for top set. Liu wanted to muck, and as per the all-in showdown rule, her    was exposed.

"She just couldn't catch a break," Hickey said while Liu left the tournament area with a sigh and "I have never ran so bad in one day."

On a flop of    , Eli Elezra checked from the big blind to Guillaume Dupuy in middle position. Dupuy tossed in a bet of 9,000 and Elezra check-raised all in for a little over 90,000. Dupuy went into the tank and Elezra gave a little speech.

"Just let it go, I have you beat," he said. "They always call when I say that," he continued with a laugh.

Luca Versus Geilich

Ivan Luca has been moved to the Amazon room and found himself seated with Ludovic Geilich.

The player in mid-position opened, Luca three-bet from the hijack, and Geilich four-bet to 45,000 from the button. The initial raiser folded and Luca called.

The flop came     and Luca checked. Geilich bet 68,000 and Luca tanked. After about two or three minutes, Luca grabbed one stack of orange 5,000-value chips and added some more to it. Luca bet 169,000 in total. Geilich looked at his cards again and then folded.

"Queen-ten of hearts!" Geilich said to Luca!

Luca laughed while raking in the chips and then decided to flip over the  .

Loeser Wins One; Loses One

Manig Loeser defended his big blind against the under-the-gun raise of Chris Da Silva and checked the     flop, Da Silva checked back. On the   turn, Loeser bet 10,000 and Da Silva raised to 26,000, which the German called. On the   river, both players checked and Loeser showed    to win the pot with kings and eights.

Loeser then three-bet an open-raise from 7,500 to 23,000 and was called by Nathan Henry in the big blind. The flop came     and Henry check-called a bet of 16,000. The   turn went check, check, and a bet of 25,000 on the   river by Henry forced a fold.

Reilly Folds to Prendiville

The player in early position had raised to 5,000 and was called by the player in mid-position. Nesrine Reilly three-bet to 25,000 from late position and then Sean Prendiville four-bet to 60,000 from the button. Only Reilly called.

The flop came    , Reilly checked, and Prendiville shoved for 143,000 in total which had Reilly covered. Reilly tanked.

"Sorry..." Reilly said to her tablemates while she was going through her options in her head.

After about four to five minutes, the clock was called on her and the floor came over. The floor asked the dealer is she had had enough time to take a decision and Reilly herself confirmed that she did.

After 25 seconds, the floor started counting down and Reilly folded when the count was at zero.
