Big Double for Carragher

A big pot was brewing over on table 452 and Kory Kilpatrick provided the details until the      turn. According to Kilpatrick, a raise by Timothy Lau was called by Charles Carragher in the cutoff and Kyle Montgomery in the big blind and the flop brought a check by Montgomery, a bet of 4,500 by Lau and a call from Carragher. Montgomery check-raised to 20,000 and both opponents called.

On the turn, Montgomery bet 20,000 and picked up two calls once more before the   river was checked to Carragher. He moved all in for 66,300 and Montgomery quickly folded. Lau needed some time to think it through and Christopher Kruk called the clock on him. Lau was given 25 seconds and announced the call with one second to spare. Carragher rolled over    for a full house and Lau wanted to muck his cards, as per all in showdown rule his    were exposed.

In the next hand, Kruk dropped some chips to Carragher when calling a 6,600-bet on the river of a paired ace-high board. Carragher showed    for aces and nines, and that won the pot.

Klein Loses a Pot

Moundir Zoughari raised to 1,900 and got three callers including both the small blind and Loren Klein in the big blind.

The four players checked a      board and the small blind bet 8,000 on the   river. Klein called and the other players all folded.

The small blind showed    and Klein allegedly flashed    to his opponent.

Hicks Takes From Papazian

Eric Hicks is sporting a sparkling America hat and just took on Alexandru Papazian. Hicks had raised first to act and called Papazian's three-bet to 5,000. On the     flop, Hicks check-called a bet of 8,000 and did so again on the   turn for 23,000. On the   river, both players checked and Papazian said "let's see them."

Hicks showed his    for two pair and then asked "are you going to slowroll me?", however, Papazian shook his head and mucked.

Tollerene Calls and Doubles

Picking up the action on the      turn, Ben Tollerene was calling a 20,000 bet from a player in early position. Tollerene was in the hijack and continued to the river with 33,900.

The   hit the felt and Tollerene's opponent moved all in. Tollerene paused for about 20 seconds and then grabbed his chips and moved them forward. His opponent mucked his hand at the same time when Tollerene opened his    and the online high stakes cash game superstar climbed to 145,000.

Elezra Bets the River Blind

The button limped, Eli Elezra limped and the big blind checked.

The flop came     and the three players checked. Elezra bet 1,000 on the   turn. The big blind folded and the button called.

Elezra then bet 2,000 before the river was dealt; it was the  . His opponent called and Elezra showed    for the nut flush.

"Oh you could have been in trouble," said his opponent, showing    for an open-ended straight flush draw that missed.

"No I couldn't. The dealer, he gives me signals you know," joked Elezra.

Seidel Eliminated by Gavin

Erik Seidel

It folded around to Erik Seidel on the button and he raised to 2,000. Alexis Gavin sat in the big blind and she three-bet Seidel by putting in a bet of 6,000. Seidel called and they went heads-up to the flop.

The flop came down     and Gavin continued with a bet of 5,100. Seidel called again to see the turn appear.

The turn was the   and Gavin put in another bet. This time the sizing was 14,500 and when it got to Seidel he took a minute to think his decision through. He raised to 35,000 and Gavin called.

The   river completed the board and Gavin checked to Seidel. He went all in for about 35,000 and Gavin asked for a count. Gavin already called when the dealer started to cut up a stack of 20 chips into smaller stacks of five and she didn't even need to finish counting.

Seidel opened up    and he was beat by Gavin's   .

Chalot Sticks Around

A pot of about 7,000 was gathered before a     flop was seen by Antonio Esfandiari and Benjamin Chalot. Chalot check-called a bet of 2,8000 and the   fell on the turn.

Chalot check-called once more, this time for 3,800 and the   completed the board. Both players checked and Chalot won the pot with the   .

Seiver Wins a Three-Bet Pot

Scott Seiver

In a three-way three-bet pot, Scott Seiver was in the small blind, check-calling 6,700 on the     flop. The third player released his hand and the action continued heads-up on the   turn.

Seiver checked again and his opponent asked how much he had left. Seiver counted his stack and announced that he had exactly 32,000. The other player checked back and Seiver led out 15,000 on the   river. A fold followed and Seiver scooped the pot.

Cavanaugh Doubles Up

The player in early position raised to 1,800 and was called by the player in the hijack. James Cavanaugh was sitting in the small blind and shoved for 8,800. The initial raiser called and the hijack folded.

After losing another big pot, Joe Hachem was all in and at risk from the button and picked up two callers including Ronald Bernstein in the big blind and Rodney Hurlbut in early position. On the     flop, Bernstein moved all in to isolate successfully and the cards were turned over.

Hegele Making Moves for Another Deep Run

Robin Hegele came up a few days short of a dream run in 2017 when he finished 27th in the WSOP Main Event.

Hegel returned for Day 2 with 39,000 and did lose about half of his stack before getting some back in a recent pot.

With about 8,000 in the middle and a three-way board reading      , the player in the big blind bet 5,000 and Hegele shoved for 15,500. The player on the button went into the tank and eventually folded when once again, the clock was needed for this player.

The player in the big blind would fold as well and Hegele was pushed the pot.

Grapenthien Lets One Go

With around 6,000 in the middle, Matt Grapenthien was heads-up with Quang Vu who was sitting directly on his right. The dealer spread the flop of     and Vu checked to Grapenthien who bet 3,200. Vu called and the   landed on the turn.

Vu checked again and Grapenthien tossed in a bet of 5,600 with four cards to a straight on the board. Vu check-raised to 16,500 and Grapenthien sent his cards to the muck almost instantly. After taking another hit to his stack, Grapenthien has fallen to around a 30 big-blind stack.

Margereson Eliminates Pauli

Scott Margereson sat in the small blind and it folded to him. In the big blind sat Sebastian Pauli with just 10,000 left and Margereson pushed all in to put pressure on Pauli. Pauli checked one card and went on to peel the second card and he instantly called when he saw he had   .

Margereson tabled    and was in rough shape against Pauli.

The flop was     and it was going to be an even tougher task for Margereson to win the hand, but the   turn gave some hope. The river was the   and Margereson hit one of his outs and with that, he eliminated Pauli from the Main Event.

Mcdonald Busts in Three-Way All In
