James Eliminated

The board was reading     with 5,000 already in the middle when Mesha James checked, followed by Timothy Jurkiewicz. Sixiao Li in the cutoff position bet 3,000 and after some thought, James pushed all in for her last 14,900. Jurkiewicz reshoved, putting Li's tournament at risk and the latter folded to create the following showdown:

James, who recently made the final table of $1,000 No Limit Hold'em - Ladies Championship (Event #57), was in bad shape for a double up and the    turn and river brought her no help.

No Party for Owen Yet

Adam Owen

Adam Owen has dressed up for Independence Day and might be rocking the best outfit in the room. His stack trend, however, isn't in party mode as the colorful Brit is down to 17,950 in the third level of the day.

Owen lost some of his stack in a recent three-way pot. On a      board, Owen was in the small blind and bet 2,500. Two players in late position called, including Kenneth Barkoff on the button.

The river   got checked to Barkoff, who bet 6,200. Owen was the only caller and had to muck when Barkoff tabled a flush with   .

Hall Wins With Second Barrel

A player on the button had what appeared to be a three-bet to 2,500 in front of him and was facing another raise to 8,300 from big blind Galen Hall. That player called and they saw an     flop. Hall tanked a couple of minutes and bet 5,800. His opponent called. On the   turn, Hall again tanked before betting 11,300. That induced a fold and Hall dragged the pot.

Black Bets For Value on the River

The board read    , Taylor Black checked from the big blind position to a late position opponent who bet 1,500, another opponent in the hijack called and so did Black.

The   fell on the turn and all three players checked. The   came on the river, Black led out for 3,500 and only the opponent in late position called.

Black turned over    for kings over fours and his opponent mucked his hand.

Laplante Chipping Up

On a board showing     , around 11,000 chips were already in the middle when Ryan Laplante situated in the under the gun position bet 10,500. After some consideration, Martin Malone made the call and the dealer showed a   on the river. Laplante chose to check, and so did Malone.

Laplante tabled    for the flush and Malone mucked his cards.

Champlin Takes from Peters

Spencer Champlin

Tobias Peters raised to 700 from middle position and the small blind called. Spencer Champlin re-raised to 3,000 from the big blind and Peters called.

They went heads-up to the     flop and both players checked. The turn was the   and Champlin led out with a bet of 4,500. Peters called and both players checked when the   hit the river.

Champlin turned over his    and Peters doubled checked his hole cards one last time before firing them face down into the muck.

Feshchenko Over Tuna

Akin Tuna

In a three-bet pot between Akin Tuna in the cutoff and Daria Feshchenko on the button, the     was checked to the latter. Feshchenko bet 2,100 and Tuna called before both players checked the   turn.

Tuna bet 2,500 on the   river, a quarter of his remaining stack, and Feshchenko quickly called it off.

Andrejevic Check-Raises the Turn

Under the gun, Mike McDonald raised to 700 and a series of folds followed until the action stopped at big blind Andjelko Andrejevic, who defended with a call.

Andrejevic checked the     and called when McDonald bet 600. Then he checked again with the turn showing  . McDonald placed in a second barrel, firing 1,800. Andrejevic paused for a moment and then tossed in 6,000, prompting a fast fold from McDonald.

With already 8,000 in the middle and a flop reading     Christopher George checked to Mike Del Vecchio. Del Vecchio bet 3,000 and George called to see the   turn get added to the board.

Sontheimer Scores a Full Double

We didn't catch when the money went in but Steffen Sontheimer and Mack Lee ended up all in for Sontheimer's 26,000.

The board read       and Sontheimer had rolled over    by the time we arrived, beating Lee's   . Sontheimer, who started well but dropped below par, is now back above the starting line as he continued with around 56,000 or so.

Beckley Bets and Wins

There were about 4,000 chips in the middle and the complete       board was already out when we got to the table. Joshua Beckley bet 2,500 from the big blind into two players in middle position. They both folded and the 2015 Main Event runner-up took the pot.
