Morris Off to a Great Start

Arthur Morris

Arthur Morris has already had success here at this year's series. Just a few days ago he finished 7th in Event #58: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed and he has been spotted in the room.

The action was on the river with a       board already out. There was around 45,000 in the pot and Morris lead for 13,000, which was under a third pot. His opponent looked uncomfortable with his spot and took a minute to decide what to do. He made the call but mucked when he saw that Morris held   .

Michael Gathy seems to have a rough start of the tournament. He already lost about half of the 50,000 he received at the start of the day. Things didn't go well for Gathy in the last hand either.

Thomas Kornechuk raised from late position to 900 and Gathy called in position. The player in the small blind got along for the ride. The flop came down     and it checked to Kornechuck. Chan and Smith Chip Up Early

Johnny Chan wasn't seated on the first round through the Amazon Orange section but he can now be found right next to Christopher Frank, and he has built a decent early profit after moving up to almost two times the starting stack.
