Hartree Folds to Altman on the River

The board read      and there were three players still in. On the   river, there was one check and Brian Altman bet pot. This pushed off Kyle Hartree and the other player and Altman scooped a pot that takes him back to almost average stack.

Max Silver Has Work to Do

Max Silver is another player in the Amazon Orange section that already lost a bunch of his initial 50,000 stack. Silver did win a little bit back though after winning a pot from his left neighbor.

Silver raised to 900 from the button and he was called by the player in the big blind. The     flop was dealt and both players checked. The turn was the   and Silver called a 1,000 bet from the player in the big blind. The river was the   and the big blind put in another 1,000. Silver called again.

The board read      , William Ellis bet 4,000 into a pot around 8,000 and Clifton Temm quickly called.

Floyd Arnold opened from under the gun and it folded to Jan-Peter Jachtmann in the big blind who made the call.

The flop came     and Jachtmann check-called the continuation bet from Arnold for 1,175. The turn fell a   and the same action happened, this time for 3,000.

Both players checked on the   river and Jachtmann tossed his hand into the muck when Arnold revealed   .

Boatman Takes a Small Hit

After a raise to 600 and two callers, Barny Boatman called out of the small blind and Orlando Moretti made it 2,100 to go from the big blind. Only Boatman called and checked the     flop before calling a bet worth 1,300. On the   turn, Boatman checked once more and called after Moretti fired a second barrel worth 2,100. Both checked the   on the river and Moretti tabled the    as the winning hand.

"Good turn," Boatman admitted and sent his cards into the muck.

Rieg Calls Chauve on a Straight Board

The board had a completed straight and showed      , Vincent Chauve bet 3,600 into a pot that was around 7,000. Michelle Rieg made the call and asked,"Do you have king-queen?" as she showed    for a queen-high straight.

Chauve threw his cards in the muck and Rieg took down a pot late into level two.

Kyle Bowker and Ryan D'Angelo were heads-up on the       board. Bowker checked and D'Angelo bet 15,000 into a main pot of 17,050. After about 30-seconds in the tank Bowker called and D'Angelo showed    for middle pair.

Baker Makes The Fold Against Hesp

John Hesp

The flop read     and John Hesp bet 2,300 from the hijack into a pot around 6,300. The cutoff opponent folded and David "ODB" Baker made the call from the button.

The   fell on the turn, Hesp bet 3,500 and Baker thought for several moments before making the call. The river fell the   and Hesp starting laughing hysterically before firing a bet of 6,000.

Baker said,"I think you have king-jack or queen-jack" as he smiled back at Hesp. "It must be queen-jack or king-jack, I want to see this one" announced Baker. Hesp obliged, turning over    for a river straight and pretty close to what Baker had in mind for a read.

Hastings Moves Over the Century Chip Mark

Brian Hastings

Brian Hastings raised to 700 from middle position and Kenny Hallaert called. Both of the blinds called and they went four handed to the     flop. It checked to Hastings who bet 1,100 and the small blind called.

They went heads-up to the   turn and the small blind checked. Hastings bet 3,500, his opponent folded and Hastings took the pot to move over the century chip mark.

Michael Vogelsong raised to 800 from late position and Charlotte Godwin called from the small blind, as did Jasper Meijer van Putten on the big blind.

Sexton Takes From Farber

On a flop showing     and with a pot already containing over 4,000, Mike Sexton bet 2,500 from the big blind before calling the raise for 7,000 from Jay Farber on the button.

The turn   brought no betting action and the dealer showed a   on the river. Sexton first checked, and called a last bet for 5,000 from Farber. The latter turned over    for the straight and the flush, but it wasn't enough to win the pot, facing    in Sexton's hand for a better flush.

Hall Extracting Chips From His Opponents

Tom Hall opened to 750 from the button and an opponent in the big blind called his raise. The flop came down     and both players checked to the turn that came the  .

The big blind player bet 800, Hall made the call and the   hit the felt on the river. The action was checked to Hall who bet 2,400, his opponent quickly called and Hall turned over    for rivered trips.

His opponent mucked and Hall continues to add chips to his stack early on Day 1b.

Lascell Wins Big Three-Way Pot

A loud scream by Roger Mack alerted the live reporting team to head over to table 475 and indeed a large pot had built already with the board showing      . More than 48,000 were in the middle and Mack had checked out of the big blind. Timothy Gundrum bet 5,000 from early position and Daniel Lascell called with few chips behind in the cutoff.

"They gotta have me beat, eh?" Mack said in table chat and put his opponents on ace-king and ace-ten of spades. He mucked and his cards flashed over, showing    for a missed straight draw. Gundrum rolled over the    and Lascell scooped the pot with the   .

Mack continued to talk about how he knew what the opponents had and that he had to call with his straight draw to get a possible big payday. Once the dealer push took place at the end of the hand, Mack turned to the dealer and said "I know you meant to" and shook his hand with a lot of enthusiasm.

Elezra Giving Lessons

Eli Elezra in a previous event.

"See this guys, I'm going to teach you a lesson" Eli Elezra said as he limped in from under the gun. It folded around to Radwan Khuri in the small blind and he limped in. Roman Kagan checked his big blind and they saw a flop of    .

It checked to Elezra who bet 1,000 and both players quickly folded. "I'll show you the winner" Elezra said turning over the   and he dragged in the pot.

Krasienko Builds Stack

Adam McCoskey and Mike Krasienko were involved in a battle of the blinds and the flop showed    . McCoskey checked over to Krasienko, who bet 2,100 and picked up a call. On the   turn, McCoskey checked once more and Krasienko bet 3,200. Without saying a word, McCoskey grabbed a T-5,000 chip and several smaller chip denominations and put in 5,200.

Krasienko verified with the dealer that this was a forced min-raise to 6,400 and put in as many chips, McCoskey also filled up. On the   river, McCoskey's bet of 4,200 was quickly called by Krasienko and he claimed the pot with   .
