Brian Yoon has been off to a decent start after making a few good calls and betting at the right moments.

The board read       and an opponent in the cutoff bet 1,050 into a pot around 2,500. Yoon quickly called, his opponent flipped over    for a missed straight draw and Yoon tabled    for nines up, taking down the pot.

Papazyan Takes Down a Small One

Art Papazyan raised from early position and Erik Seidel called from middle position. Patrick Bell in the big blind called as well and they saw a flop appear.

The flop came down     and Bell checked to Papazyan, who continued with a bet of 400. Seidel folded and Bell called to see the   turn. This time Bell check-folded when Papazyan bet 1,200.

Strelitz Hits a One-Outer

A tweet of Daniel Strelitz about a double up with a one-outer alerted us to have a look at his table that also features Nick Jivkov and Strelitz was involved right away in another big pot. Prior to his double up he had lost some chips and, according to Strelitz, doubled with a one-outer thanks to a five on the river:

Just now, Alexander Krisak raised to 500 and Strelitz from one seat over in the cutoff three-bet to 1,500, Krisak called. The flop came     and Krisak check-called a bet of 1,000 before check-calling another 3,000 on the   turn. The   fell on the river and Krisak checked once more. Strelitz bet 11,500 and received a call to roll over the    for a flopped full house.

Robert Stuve opened to 300 under the gun. David Maudlin, in the small blind, and Danny Hannawa, in the big blind, called.

The under the gun player limped in and a player in late position raised to 500. Katie Stone called from the big blind and the under the gun player called.

They went three-handed to the     flop and it checked to the late position player who bet 1,800. Stone called and they went heads-up to the   turn.

Stone checked and her opponent threw out another bet of 1,800 which Stone called. The river was the   and Stone check-called a third bet of 1,800 from her opponent. The player turned over    for just ace high and Stone took the pot with   .

On the four-handed flop of    , Leo Margets raised it up to 2,000 and forced two folds including Brandon Ageloff while Colin Guthrie called. Guthrie then checked the   turn and Margets on the button made it 5,100 to go. That ended up winning the pot without further resistance, as Guthrie quickly folded.

Seymour With Early Profit

Richard Seymour

Former NFL star and poker aficionado Richard Seymour has played in various WSOP events already and racked up more than $530,000 in cashes on the international poker circuit. Seymour is back for the Main Event now and was just spotted in a heads-up pot against Antonio Payne.

The board on the turn showed      and Payne bet 1,100 into a pot of 2,200 from the cutoff. Seymour raised it up to 3,000 from one seat over and Payne gave it some thought before sending his cards into the muck, awarding the pot to Seymour without showdown.

Jason Beck raised to 400 from late position and Matthew Donaldson called from the cutoff. Peyman Luth re-raised to 1,600 from the button and both players called.

Antti Tiainen opened to 400 on the button. Gavin Cochrane, in the big blind, called. A flop of     was dealt. Cochrane checked to Tiainen who bet 450. There was 3,300 in the main pot on a board of      and it checked to Lucio Procopio who bet 1,500. Two players called and the   completed the board.

Both players checked and Procopio threw out a bet of 3,100. The player in early position quickly folded and the middle position player called. Procopio turned over    for two pair and his opponent fired his hand face down into the muck.

Kraper Makes the Call on the River

The board read     and Sean Kraper checked from the small blind to an opponent in late position who bet 700 into a pot that had 1,050 in it.

Kraper made the call and the turn fell the  . Kraper would then check-call a bet of 900 and the   would hit the felt on the river. The action was on Kraper's opponent who bet 2,000 and he thought for several moments before making the call.

His opponent announced, "Good call" as they tapped the tabled and Kaper tabled    for a pair of queens, taking down the early pot.

Esfandiari Wins First Hand

Antonio Esfandiari just took his seat next to Frank Kassela in the Amazon Orange section. Esfandiari came in as the big blind and Kassela folded under the gun. Kalidou Sow was in the next seat and he raised to 325. Edward Shelmerdine V called and it folded all the way around to Esfandiari. Esfandiari three-bet to 1,525 and both players called.

The flop was     and Esfandiari continued with a bet of 1,275 and both players called again. The turn was the   and all checked to see the   river complete the board. All checked again and Esfandiari said "ship it" as he tabled   .

The pot was awarded to him after both Sow and Shelmerdine V mucked their hands.

On the tail end of a board      , Thomas Mcteer bet 2,000 and Spencer White raised it up to 5,000. Billy Brenton called and so did Mcteer to see White roll over    for bottom set. That ended up winning the pot and Mcteer tapped the table in defeat with the words "nice hand."

Griffin Folds a Set of Kings

Mark Griffin and his opponent were heads-up on a      board and there was 6,500 in the pot. Griffin checked and his opponent moved all in. Griffin thought it over for a few moments and announced "fold" showing    for middle set.

"Good fold, I just wanted to take the pot right there" his opponent said turning over    for a flopped flush proving that Griffin did indeed make the correct laydown.
