Porter Doubles Through Hughes

Rep Porter raised to 500,000 in the cutoff and Loren Klein in the big blind came along to see a flop of    . Klein checked and Porter's bet of 600,000 forced a fold.

Soon after, Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 500,000 first to act and Ryan Hughes three-bet the pot to 1,740,000 in the small blind, Shack-Harris folded.

Hughes limped the button the next hand and Porter filled up from the small blind, Shack-Harris checked the big blind. On the     flop, Porter bet 700,000 and Shack-Harris folded. Hughes reraised the pot and Porter called all in for 2,260,000.

The   turn and   river ensured that the kicker played and Porter doubled, sending Hughes to the bottom of the leader board.

Wong Doubles Through Klein

Jerry Wong opened to 600,000 under the gun and his neighbor, Loren Klein in the cutoff, tanked for a bit before he called. The remaining players got out of the way.

Wong bet pot for 1,960,000 with 640,000 behind on    . Klein moved in and Wong instantly called.

The   on the turn did nothing and the   on the river didn't make a difference either. Double up for Wong who's now playing 7.3 million while Klein remains in the lead with 7.6 million.

Scott Bohlman Eliminated in 6th Place ($157,097)

Loren Klein made it 500,000 to go from the cutoff and Scott Bohlman three-bet the pot from the button. Action folded back to Klein and he checked for Bohlman's stack size, who counted it out for 2,050,000 in total. Klein gave it some thought and put together calling chips for the pot size, which was 1,860,000 in total. That almost prompted Bohlman to turn over his cards, Klein stopped him when a queen had flashed already.

"I'd be really mad when a queen comes," Klein joked and then he and Bohlman rooted for a queen.

On the     flop, Klein moved all in and Bohlman called it off.

"Wow, I have a live king. Come on, let's have a five on the turn, I helped you out before," Klein added and Bohlman indeed asked for a five after with a grin on the face.

The   appeared on the turn and Klein said "wow, that's almost a five, spades is even better."

After the   river, Klein indeed got there with a straight and Bohlman was eliminated in 6th place for $157,097.

Jerry Wong limped in from the cutoff and Ryan Hughes checked in the big blind. On the     flop, both players checked. Hughes bet the   turn for 300,000 and Wong called. The   river was checked and Hughes briefly showed his cards, Wong tabled the winner with     .

Wong Moves In

Jerry Wong limped in from the small blind. Big blind Loren Klein bumped the action to 720,000 and Wong called.

When the     flop hit, Wong moved in for 1.3 million. Klein contemplated a call for some but and even had the calling chips ready, but eventually decided against it and folded.

Hughes Scores Runner-Runner Miracle

Out of the small blind, Ryan Hughes raised the pot to 720,000 and Rep Porter in the big blind three-bet the pot, Hughes called all in for his 2,290,000 and the cards were tabled.

"Stuff and a bit, a classic Omaha race," Loren Klein joked in table chat. The flop fell     and Hughes needed runner-runner outs to avoid elimination. The   turn was one of them and he indeed got there with the   river to hit the better two pair, double with jacks and sevens.

Klein Chips Up Without Showdown; First Break of the Day

Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 400,000 from the hijack and Jerry Wong called in the cutoff, as did Loren Klein on the button. On the     flop, Shack-Harris checked and Wong bet 500,000, which only Klein called.

On the   turn, Wong checked and Klein bet 425,000 to win the last hand of the level, the players then headed into a 20-minute break.

Shack-Harris Doubles Through Hughes

Ryan Hughes was first to act and made it 400,000 to go. Brandon Shack-Harris in the cutoff was the sole caller so it was heads-up to the flop.

On    , Hughes bet 1 million. Shack-Harris, who had 1.265,000 in front of him, thought about it for a bit before he moved in. Hughes called instantly for 265,000 more.

Klein Jams Into Shack-Harris

Ryan Hughes raised to 400,000 and Loren Klein called out of the big blind. On the     flop, Klein checked and folded to a bet worth 500,000.

One hand later, Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 400,000 from the cutoff and claimed the blinds.

The next hand saw a min-raise to 400,000 by Rep Porter from the under-the-gun position and Shack-Harris called. On the button, Loren Klein glanced over to the stack sizes of Porter and Shack-Harris before announcing a pot-sized raise of 1,900,000. Porter folded quickly, while Shack-Harris checked his remaining stack carefully and called for almost exactly half of what he had left.

The flop came     and Klein bet the pot, Shack-Harris double-checked his cards and folded.

Shack-Harris Moves All In

Ryan Hughes opened the cutoff for 400,000 and small blind Brandon Shack-Harris called. Shack-Harris check-called 500,000 on     before moving in for about 1.3 million on the   turn. Hughes folded instantly.

Bohlman Doubles Through Klein

Loren Klein raised to 600,000 out of the small blind and Scott Bohlman announced all in out of the big blind, Klein called and Bohlman was at risk for 1,555,000.

On the     flop, Klein improved to top and bottom pair and predicted the next card for a sweat, he asked for the jack of diamonds to give Bohlman a ton of outs. Low and behold, the   appeared on the turn and both players burst out in laughter.

"Let's sweat this one out," Klein suggested without trying to predict any card and Rep Porter was going for the   as final card. Instead, it was the   that fell on the river and improved Bohlman to a runner-runner straight and remain in contention.

Porter Doubles Through Shack-Harris Once More

Right after doubling up, Rep Porter opened the small blind for 600,000. Big blind Brandon Shack-Harris called.

The flop came     and Porter potted for 1.2 million with about 170,000 or so behind. Shack-Harris tanked for some time before eventually moving in. Porter called.

The   on the turn gave Shack-Harris some extra outs but the   on the river wasn't one of the cards he was looking for.

Shack-Harris now one of the shorter stacks, Porter in the middle of the pack.

Porter Doubles Through Klein

Loren Klein raised to 425,000 in the cutoff and Rep Porter moved all in from the big blind for a total of 940,000. Klein asked for a count and called.

"I got some stuff, but he got it," Klein said in table chat while the cards were tabled.

The     flop triggered a guessing game with Klein asking for a sweat with the  , while Porter was having other thoughts. Both the   turn and the   river bricked off and Porter doubled.

"I was rooting for the  , but wouldn't have minded the   either," Porter joked.

Klein Takes Over the Lead

Brandon Shack-Harris opened the hijack to 360,000 but was forced to make it 400,000 as the level had gone up after just before the hand. Loren Klein on the button called, the blinds folded.

Shack-Harris checked on     and called the 650,000 bet that followed. Both players then checked the   on the turn.

The   river completed the board and Shack-Harris checked once more. Klein bet 1.3 million and Shack-Harris went deep into the tank.

After some five minutes, Ryan Hughes asked for the clock. With just a few seconds to spare, Shack-Harris called. Klein showed      for top-two and Shack-Harris mucked.

Klein Takes From Shack-Harris

In the last hand of the level, Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 360,000 on the button and Loren Klein called out of the big blind. The flop came     and both players opted to check. On the   turn, Klein checked and called a bet of 200,000 by Shack-Harris.

After the   river, Klein checked once more and Shack-Harris bet 700,000. Klein took some time before announcing his next move and check-raised to 1,900,000 in order to force a fold from Shack-Harris and chip up without showdown. The hand itself lasted five minutes into the new level.

Wong Shoves on Shack-Harris

From the hijack, Brandon Shack-Harris opened for 360,000. His neighbor, Jerry Wong in the cutoff, potted for 1,320,000. The button and both blinds got out of the way and Shack-Harris called.

The tournament chipleader checked on    . Wong didn't hesitate moving in for 1,080,000. Shack-Harris tanked for some time before releasing his cards to the muck.

Shack-Harris Wins Big Pot Right Away

In the very first hand of play, Brandon Shack-Harris raised to 360,000 first to act and was called by Rep Porter in the big blind. The flop of     was checked through and Porter checked the   turn. Shack-Harris bet 300,000 and Porter called.

After the   river, Porter checked and Shack-Harris gave it some thought before betting 1,000,000, half of what Porter had left in his stack. The call of Porter followed after some consideration and Shack-Harris rolled over      for a full house Porter mucked.

Shack-Harris is sporting the "Cocaine Piss" shirt, a band from Belgium, which was also worn by music producer Steven Albini on his way to win his first bracelet on this very feature table in Event #31: $1,500 Seven Card Stud.
