Chris Vitch Eliminated in 4th Place ($47,166)

Chris Vitch

2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Seiver raised on the button and Chris Vitch defended the big blind. Both players took two and Vitch checked. Seiver bet and Vitch raised. Seiver called and took a card off against pat Vitch. Vitch bet, Seiver called and draws repeated. This time, Vitch checked and Seiver bet.

Vitch sighed and called, and Seiver showed      . Vitch showed perfect eight-seven. He was left with 75,000 and busted the next hand.

Badugi

Three-way after the second draw, Scott Seiver was betting in position and both Chris Vitch and Jesse Hampton called. All players drew one and action checked to Seiver who bet again. Vitch called and Hampton let his hand go.

Seiver turned up a seven-badugi and Vitch could only nod and muck, dropping to five big bets.

Vitch and Seiver Wound Becker

A-5 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch raised and called a three-bet from Johannes Becker who patted straight from the first draw. Vitch drew two, one and one and called Becker's bets after the first and second draw. Becker tapped the last street and quickly called when Vitch bet. Vitch, however, got there, showing the second nuts with      .

The next hand saw Becker lose some more chips in what initially started as a three-way pot. Chris Vitch escaped after the first draw where Scott Seiver raised Becker's bet. Seiver patted thereafter and Becker drew one two times. He called a bet after the second draw and tried to steal the pot when Seiver checked to him on the river. Seiver snapped him off with an eighty-seven, busting Becker's paired hand.

Seiver Caught Bluffing

A-5 Triple Draw

Scott Seiver raised and Johannes Becker three-bet in the small blind. Seiver called and took two after Becker took one. Becker bet and Seiver called, then draws repeated. Becker bet again and this time faced a raise. He called and both players patted. Seiver fired a final time.

Becker placed his head in his hands and thought for about 30 seconds. Finally, he splashed in a call.

"Bluff," Seiver said. "Pair of deuces."

He flashed his cards and Becker spread      .

Hampton Binks River to Survive

2-7 Triple Draw

Jesse Hampton raised and big blind Chris Vitch was visibly pained that he had to make a move against the short stack, even though his hand was presumably weak. Vitch three-bet and Hampton called.

Vitch drew three and Hampton two. Vitch bet and added extra 4,000 after Hampton moved all-in.

Vitch was pat through while Hampton drew one on each of the following draws.

Hampton needed a seven, eight or nine to stay in the tournament and he indeed received a   and doubled.

George Trigeorgis

Badugi

Scott Seiver raised and Chris Vitch called in the small blind, as did big blind George Trigeorgis for his last. Vitch took two and the others one. Vitch check-called and draws stayed the same through the next two rounds, with Vitch check-calling in between.

Everyone checked the end and Seiver announced a three-card five:    . Vitch couldn't beat that, and neither could Trigeorgis as he wound up with      playing a three-card seven.

Hampton's Nine is Good

A-5 Triple Draw

Short stacks Jesse Hampton and George Trigeorgis met in a three-bet pot and Hampton decided to skip the cbet and tap back after they both drew two.

Trigeorgis led out on the second draw after they peeled two again. Hampton called and patted while Trigeorgis drew one.

Hampton had only 5,000 behind but he was allowed to check back, showing his       for the win, getting almost a full double versus Trigeorgis jack-high.

Trigeorgis then doubled his micro stack in a hand against Chris Vitch but now he's again down to just one big bet.

George Trigeorgis raised and Chris Vitch defended big blind. Both drew two and Vitch came out betting. Trigeorgis called.

"Wow," Trigeorgis mustered after Vitch patted.

Trigeorgis took two and then one but folded on the last bet.

Left with 90,000, he got them in next hand against Scott Seiver in A-5 triple draw. Trigeorgis made       but Seiver had a big draw with     . He squeezed out an eight and Trigeorgis survived.

Chips Move on the Becker-Trigeorgis-Seiver Axe

2-7 Triple Draw

George Trigeorgis called Johannes Becker's raise and they both drew three. Becker bet and Trigeorgis called before both switched to drawing two. Trigeorgis led out this time and Becker called.

Both drew one on the last draw. Trigeorgis had one big bet left. "It's an interesting spot, we have one big bet left. Why is it not going in?" he was talking to himself out loud before peeling his new card.

Eventually, he threw it in. Becker called with king-high but that was no match for Trigeorgis' eighty-six.

Trigeorgis climbed to 400,000 but he'd soon lose a large portion of it in a three-bet pot against Seiver who patted after the first draw, barreling all streets. Trigeorgis gave up on the river.

Trigeorgis Keeps Surviving

Badugi

Johannes Becker opened under the gun for a raise and George Trigeorgis put his 53,000 in from the button. Scott Seiver called in the big blind. Everyone drew one and then draws repeated after two checks. This time, Seiver check-called a bet. He drew and the others were pat.

Seiver check-folded and Becker confidently spread     . However, Trigeorgis had it beat with     .

Trigeorgis Crippled, Then Triples

A-5 Triple Draw

With action on the last betting round, Scott Seiver checked to George Trigeorgis who bet. Seiver then check-raised.

Trigeorgios was upset: "Oh, come on, how do you raise here?"

"Because everyone knows that no one bets there so it was a very easy check-raise from me," Seiver replied.

Trigeorgis eventually couldn't talk himself out of the troubles and called only to hear Seiver say: "Number two."

Badugi

Trigeorgis was down to just 22,000 after the aforementioned hand and the game changed before he was forced to post all-in in the big blind. Seiver raised and Chris Vitch came along from the small blind.

Vitch drew one, Trigeorgis discarded three and Seiver two. Seiver bet and Vitch called so they continued battling for the side pot.

All players drew one and Seiver forced a fold from Vitch with another bet.

Trigeorgis got there and patted while Seiver needed to change one.

George Trigeorgis:
Scott Seiver:

Seiver needed a low spade to tackle Trigeorgis but the dealer gave him the   instead, securing a triple for Trigeorgis.

Vitch Spooks Seiver

A-5 Triple Draw

Scott Seiver raised in the cutoff and Chris Vitch three-bet the small blind. Seiver called and was behind in the draw, one against two. Vitch bet and Seiver called. They both drew one and Vitch slowed down with a check. Seiver bet and Vitch instantly folded.

"I mean it's f****** spooky man," Seiver said. "I have him drawing dead and he just check-snap-folds."

"He snap-folded when I made my hand, too," Jesse Hampton said.

"It's not spooky that you do it, it's spooky that you're never wrong," Seiver said.

The next hand, Vitch got the chips back in another three-bet pot, with Seiver being the one check-folding to a big bet after Vitch patted second draw.

Hampton's Rough Eight Holds

2-7 Triple Draw

Johannes Becker raised in the first position and Jesse Hampton countered with a three-bet out of the small blind. Becker called.

Hampton was pat right away and Becker changed two. He called another bet and then changed one. Hampton moved all-in for last 16,000 and Becker called off, drawing one.

Hampton turned up       for a rough eight and Becker had a chance to score the knockout with any four, six or seven. However, he'd only receive a nine to make      , not enough to halt Hampton's tournament run.
