Loeser Bubbles Event #2: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty

Manig Loeser

Manig Loeser raised to 215,000 leaving himself only a handful of big blinds behind. A short while ago he had doubled Taylor Black up, and a look seemingly of resigned inevitability came across Black's face as he moved all in. The remaining players folded, and after Loeser surveyed the remaining tables, he called.

The board came       with the ace on the turn sending Loeser to the rail, narrowly missing out on the money in the second event of the 2018 WSOP. The remaining 37 players are all guaranteed $10,192.

Black Doubles Through Loeser

Manig Loeser has been liberally swinging his big stack in the past hour to put the short stacks behind him at risk. From the cutoff, Loeser did it once more, but this time, Taylor Black called from the big blind for 322,000 total.

Even though railbird Niall Farrell called the four the "money card," there wasn't a penny for Loeser as the board ran out      . The German high roller slipped to 260,000 in the process.

Sangha Doubles on Money Bubble

Allan Le moved all in on the button and Harsukhpaul Sangha moved all in for his last 132,000 in the small blind. The big blind folded and the pair waited for hands at other tables to conclude before the cards were turned over.

There was a small sweat for Sangha on the     flop, but the    runout was safe for him and he doubled up.

Palmer Takes a Bounty and Doubles

Alan Mastic and Ben Palmer were both all-in and at risk as Bryn Kenney had them both covered with his stack and had called.

The board ran out       - the pocket nines of Palmer were enough to take Mastic out and earn a double-up from Kenney. The 21,000 side pot and the bounty was sent Palmer's way and after counting out his stack, Kenny had to pay Palmer 84,000. With the elimination of Mastic, there are now 38 players left and hand-for-hand play has started.

Black Doubles Before the Bubble

A player in middle position moved all in for around 200,000 and Taylor Black moved all in for 145,000 in the next position. The remaining players folded and the cards were turned over, with Black in a strong position holding    against his opponent's

Fox Over a Million

Marc Macdonnell raised to 24,000 and Elio Fox shoved all in from the small blind. The player in the big blind looked at his cards and then also decided to go all-in with the smaller stack. Macdonnell got out of their way.

Cada Doubles Through Daher

Albert Daher was the big stack at the table, and he open-jammed from the cutoff to isolate three shorter stacks in late position. The button folded and Joe Cada had a decision in the small blind. He eventually moved all in himself and the big blind folded.

The flop came     giving no help to Cada. The turn was the   giving him additional straight outs, which he duly took advantage of on the   river, giving him a wheel and left an exasperated-looking Daher looking to the heavens before counting out his opponent's double-up.

Foxen and Wong Clash

Danny Wong raised to 22,000 from mid-position and was called by Alex Foxen in the cutoff.

The flop brought them the    , Wong continued with a bet of 43,000 and Foxen called once more.

They both checked through the   on the turn to the   on the river. Wong now checked, Foxen bet 67,000. Wong contemplated his options and then raised to 175,000. Foxen asked the dealer for a count and the dealer confirmed the amount. Foxen grabbed some chips, looked at his cards again and reluctantly folded.

The hand after that, Wong raised to 22,000 again but now from early position, Foxen three-bet to 70,000 from the hijack and everyone else folded including Wong.

No Comeback for Israelashvili

Left with crumbs after the hand against John Racener, Roland Israelashvili waited patiently before sticking the last bits in. Racener made a small raise to 30,000 on the button and the big blind called.

Both players checked the     flop. The big blind bet 21,000 on the   turn and Racener called, but another 21,000 on the   river was folded by Racener.

Joe Cada opened from middle position and Harsukhpaul Sangha defended his small blind.

The flop came     and Sangha check-called a bet of 24,000. Sangha then checked dark before the turn   was dealt. Cada checked back, and the pair checked down the   river.

"It's a set up," said Roland Israelashvili, holding    against the    of John Racener. Israelashvili was on the button, while his opponent was in the small blind.

The board read     and Eric Blair was up for a decision as his opponent had gone all-in after he checked. After some careful consideration, he decided to call.

Half Million for Fox

After a player shoved all in for 28,000, Elio Fox called from the cutoff, John Racener called on the button and Chris Johnson called as well from the small blind.

With one player at risk, the flop came down     and Fox bet 30,000. Racener folded and Johnson called. Both active players checked the   on the turn.

The   rolled off on the river and Johnson opted for a bet of 60,000. Fox, the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion, made a swift call with    and the eight kicker played as Johnson tabled the inferior   . The all-in player had a king-high and was eliminated.
