Jerry Wong had slid to become one of the short stacks. In this hand, he defended his big blind when Ashton Griffin raised to 15,000 from the small blind. The flop came    , and Griffin bet 8,000. Wong called.

"This is gonna be a fun one," Kelsall said.

"What? Four?" Wong asked.

Kelsall then pitched in one card. Wong checked, Kelsall bet 20,000, and Wong called.

Kelsall showed      , and Wong mucked, allowing Kelsall to take the pot.

Hughes Takes a Big One on the Turn

Jason Stockfish opened from the button. Next to act was Ryan Hughes, and he made it 34,000. Kenneth Fitzgerald called from the big blind, and Stockfish called the raise, as well.

On the     flop, action checked around, and the turn was the  . There, Hughes led out with a bet bet of 65,000. Fitzgerald quickly folded, and after thinking about it briefly, Stockfish followed suit and folded, as well. That allowed Hughes to take the big pot and become the chip leader at his table.

Ismael Bojang limped from the cutoff. Jerry Wong folded his button, and Andrew Kelsall completed his small blind. Jens Lakemeier then raised to 44,000 from the big blind. Both other players called.

The flop came    . Bojang was holding his hands in front of his face to obscure his view of the flop.

"I hope they check to me, then I'm good," said Bojang. Kelsall checked, but Lakemeier bet the pot for 134,400. Bojang tanked for a while before calling.

Kelsall seemed to think about his decision for a good while. "If I fold, I'm gonna have to go over there for a couple of minutes and stare into the corner," he said. Eventually, he folded.

Jens Lakemeier Tanks His Way to Half the Pot

Jerry Wong raised to 9,000, and Jens Lakemeier defended his big blind.

The flop came    , and both players checked. The turn was the  , and Lakemeier check-called a bet of 10,000 from Wong. The river was the  , and Lakemeier bet 33,000. Wong then raised to 110,000. Lakemeier went deep into the tank, muttering something about "eight-ten-three-ace."

"Why did you make it so small?" asked Lakemeier. "You want me to call?"

Eventually, a combination of Ismael Bojang and Andrew Kelsall called the clock. With less than five seconds remaining, Lakemeier called.

From under the gun, Jens Lakemeier raised to 12,000, and he was called by Jerry Wong in the small blind and Andrew Kelsall in the big blind.

Wong drew one, Kelsall took three, and Lakemeier took two.

Wong checked. Kelsall thought for a moment, cut out a stack of chips, then decided to check, as well. Lakemeier decided to bet, putting out 34,000. Wong called, and Kelsall thought for a while. He made a face, then put in the chips to call, as well.

Lakemeier mucked instantly, and when Kelsall showed      , Wong mucked, as well, allowing Kelsall to take down the big pot with two pair.

Hand #2: Lakemeier opened to 10,500 from the cutoff. Jerry Wong defended from the big blind. Wong took one while Lakemeier took two. Wong then led out for 13,000. Lakemeier made it 91,000 to call. Wong thought for several minutes, then folded.

Hand #3: Ismael Bojang raised to 11,000, and everyone folded.

Hand #4: Wong opened from the button, and Andrew Kelsall called from the small blind. Kelsall stood pat while Wong took two, then both players checked. Wong showed   , but Kelsall had the best of it with      .

"I should've three-bet him preflop." That's what Mike Matusow said as he headed for the rail.

On a     flop, Matusow checked from the small blind over to Andrew Kelsall in the cutoff. Kelsall bet, and Matusow quickly moved all in. Kelsall called.

Ashton Griffin Continues to Rise

Ashton Griffin raised to 6,000 from the button, and he was called by Kenneth Fitzgerald in the blinds.

Fitzgerald took one on the first draw while Griffin took one, as well. Fitzgerald then checked over to Griffin, who bet 12,500. Fitzgerald called.

On the second draw, Fitzgerald stood pat while Griffin took one. Fitzgerald then led out with a bet of 15,000. Griffin thought for a moment, counted his chips, then raised to 48,500. Fitzgerald went into the tank for nearly two minutes before eventually deciding to let his hand go, allowing Griffin to scoop the pot and move up the leaderboard.

Daniel Negreanu picked the game and seemed to be pretty excited about choosing Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw.

On the first hand, he opened from under the gun with a raise to 10,500. Ryan Hughes was the only caller from the small blind. Hughes took two while Negreanu took one. Hughes then bet 20,000, and Negreanu moved all in for not much more. Hughes called.

Both players took one apiece on the second draw, then one more on the third draw.

"Give him a six," Negreanu requested. "Oh wait, I threw away three sixes."
