Jim Collopy Eliminated in 17th Place ($8,246)

Jim Collopy lost a massive pot to drop to a short stack and then was eliminated in a succession of two hands. In the first hand, Collopy faced off against Benjamin Zamani and Ziya Rahim.

The board read     and action checked to Rahim, who bet. Both Zamani and Collopy called. The turn was the   and action checked to Rahim who bet again. Both players called.

On the   river, action checked all the way around to Zamani on the button. He bet and both Collopy and Rahim called. Rahim showed      to take the low end of the pot. Zamani showed      to take the high side of the pot with a flush. Collopy held on to his cards for about 30 seconds, trying to find a way to take any side of the pot, but he couldn't and he mucked his hand.

The very next hand, Collopy raised. He was called by Dustin Sitar in the blinds.

On the     flop, Sitar checked. Collopy bet. Sitar raised, and Collopy called. The turn was the   and Sitar bet. Collopy moved all in and Sitar called.

Sitar showed      for a pair of queens with a straight draw. Collopy showed      for a flush draw. The flush did not come in when the   came on the river and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Scott Buller raised from under the gun. Action folded around to Mark Jenkins in the big blind and he moved all in for just 8,000 more. Buller called and the two turned up their hands.

James Chen's Chip Swings Continue

With a lot already in the middle, James Chen, Kevin Gerhart and Alex Ferrari faced off in a three-way pot. The board read      and Kevin Gerhart checked to James Chen. Chen Bet. He was called by both players.

The river was the   Gerhart checked to Chen. Chen bet. Ferarri called and Gerhart folded.

"Two pair," Gerhart said. He showed      for two pair. Chen turned up his hand, but there wasn't anything better than Ferarri's in it, and the chips we pushed to Ferrari.

Chen, who at one point was almost up to a million, is now back in the middle of the pack.

Jared Hemingway Takes One From James Chen With the Nut Nut

Preflop, Jared Hemingway opened and James Chen called.

The flop came     and Hemingway led. Chen raised. Hemingway made it three bets and Chen called.

The turn was the   and Hemingway bet. Chen called again.

The river was the   and Hemingway thought for about 15 seconds before announcing "bet." Chen thought for about the same amount of time before calling.

"Let me know if I win anything," Hemingway said, showing      for a straight and the best low.

"Is that the nut nut?" Chen asked.

Hemingway scooped the pot while Chen was forced to send over the chips.
