Sean Shah limps in from under the gun, Adil Khan completes in the small blind, and Tesfaldet Tekle checks his option in the big blind. 

The flop comes    . Khan bets 200,000, Tekle folds, and Shah makes it 840,000.  Khan announces that he is all in for around 1,300,000, and Shah calls. 

Khan:      (king high straight)
Shah:      (set of kings)

Fortunately for Shah, the   turn pairs the board giving him a full house.  The river is the insignificant  , and Khan is eliminated in 6th place.

From the hijack, Tesfaldet Tekle raises to 190,000 and Ryan Laplante calls in the small blind. On the     flop, Laplante checks and Tekle bets 275,000. Laplante quickly folds.

The very next hand, Tekle raises to 190,000 from under the gun and Laplante calls on the button. Adil Khan calls in the small blind and they head three way to the     flop. Action checks around to Tekle and he bets 410,000. Laplante and Khan fold and Tekle wins the second pot in a row.

Matthew Livingston opens to 280,000 and Ryan Laplante calls. Livingston has      against the      of Laplante.

The board runs out       and Laplante knocks out the third player in a row. Livingston is eliminated.

Richard St. Peter opens to 200,000 and Tesfaldet Tekle calls from button. The flop is     and St. Peter bets 400,000. Tekle shoves all in, making it 1,060,000. Richard St. Peter thinks for a few moments and counts his chips.

"I fold," he says shortly before he mucks his hand.

 Darryll Fish - 8th Place - $47,228

Ryan Laplante calls from early position, and Darryll Fish who is next to act, announces, "Pot," to 360,000.  Action folds back to Laplante, who moves a big stack of chips forward to raise and says, "Good luck Darryll." Fish calls, and the players turn over their hands:

The flop comes    , leaving Fish's aces in the lead, but the   turn gives Laplante a straight.  The   comes on the river, eliminating Fish in 8th place, paying $20,484. 

Laplante hugs Fish and says, "Sorry man." Fish responds, "We've played this game a long time man, that's poker." 

Fish then turns to the table and says, "Come on guys, let's make poker great again!" and walks away.

Action folds around to Adil Khan in the small blind and he limps. Tesfaldet Tekle checks his option in the big blind. On the     flop, Khan checks and Tekle bets 90,000. Khan calls and checks again on the   turn. Tekle bets 220,000 and Khan calls. Both players then check the   river and Khan turns over      for a straight.

"That is a nice flop, where did you find that one?" Matthew Livingston jokes.

Sean Shah raises to 205,000 from the cutoff and Ryan Laplante reraises the pot to 690,000 out of the small blind. Shah folds and Laplante takes down the pot.

One hand later, action folds around to Darryll Fish in the small blind and he leans over to short stack Matthew Livingston. "How much you got?", Fish asks. After thinking a few moments, he folds and Livingston gets a walk.

Two hands later, Livingston raises to 275,000 from the button and claims the blinds and antes.

Grant Ellis bets pot under the gun, making it 280,000. Ryan Laplante is in the big blind and defends.

When the     flop comes, Laplante puts out a stack of chips, enough to put Ellis all in should he call. Ellis calls and is at risk.

Ellis holds      against the      of Laplante. Laplante has two pair and the   turn and the   river don't bring any help for Ellis.

Darryll Fish opens the action with a raise to 180,000. Charles Coultas defends from the big blind.

The flop is    . Coultas takes about 30 seconds and then bets 175,000. Fish checks his cards again, but folds quickly and Coultas wins the pot.

Adil Khan arrives fashionably late and misses the first hand.

Richard St. Peter raises to 200,000 from the button and wins the blinds. Khan then sits down and turns over to St. Peter: "Oh, my small blind? Did you double up?"

The next hand, Matthew Livingston raises the pot to 280,000 from the hijack. St. Peter calls from one seat over in the cutoff and all players behind them fold.

On the     flop, Livingston checks. St. Peter bets the pot for 680,000 and Livingston quickly folds.

Darryll Fish eyes first WSOP bracelet

After two tournament days and 28 levels, the inaugural $565 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament has seen a starting field of 2,483 entries whittled down to the last nine hopefuls. Sean Shah is in the lead with 2,875,000. All finalists have $15,813 guaranteed, and first-place comes with a payout of $190,328.

Shah is followed by Tesfaldet Tekle (1,810,000) and Richard St. Peter (1,555,000), while another four players trail them very close to each other. This includes Charles Coultas (1,385,000), Adil Khan (1,215,000), Ryan Laplante (1,105,000) and Darryll Fish (1,050,000). The two short stacks are Matthew Livingston (855,000) and Canada's Grant Ellis (590,000).

Laplante has 17 WSOP cashes to his name, and this is his his fourth cash so far this year. It's also his third career WSOP final table appearance. Fish has close to $1 million in WSOP and Circuit earnings, including a WSOP Circuit ring, and is aiming for his first gold bracelet.
