Chipleader Yue Du
There are six players remaining as Event #59: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em moves o the ESPN Feature Stage, with Yue Du leading the way.
Du, from China, steamrolled the field yesterday to bag up over half the chips in play (11,730,000). Dominik Nitsche, at 3,665,000, is Yu's closest challenger. They will be joined by Natasha Barbour (2,455,000), Ismael Bojang (1,785,000), Michael Gentili (1,415,000) and Marius Gierse (730,000).
Du looks to win his first WSOP gold bracelet here, in addition to the $800,586 for first place that goes along with the jewelry. Du's only previous cash at the WSOP came earlier this summer, when he finished 210th in Event #23: $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $3,004.
Natasha Barbour (with Marshmallow)
Despite his large lead, closing the deal won't be easy. Nitsche, second in chips, already has three bracelets and is looking to add to that collection . Bojang has nearly $1,000,000 in WSOP cashes alone and is the record-holder for cashes in a single WSOP (13 in 2014, including four at that year's WSOP APAC). Barbour has a WSOP runner-up finish to her name, when she finished second to Ben Zamani in Event #20 last year. Gentili has a WSOP Circuit Ring to his name, and Gierse, albeit short-stacked, has over $100,000 of cashes in poker tournaments to his name.
