Ray Dehkharghani Eliminated

Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo

Eric Wasserson:     /    (fold)
Michael Mizrachi:     /      /

Ray Dehkharghani is the bring-in with the  . Eric Wasserson completes, Michael Mizrachi calls, and Dehkharghani raises. Both Wasserson and Mizrachi call the extra bet.

Dehkharghani has first action on fourth street, and he bets. Wasserson folds, Mizrachi raises, and Dehkharghani reraises all in for 210,000 total. Mizrachi calls to put him at risk.

Mizrachi's next two cards give him an unbeatable low and a straight draw for the scoop. He rivers another six to improve to two pair, and Dehkharghani needs to catch up to claim half the pot. He cannot. He squeezes his river card, announces he's a 2:1 underdog, then tables the blank  .

Dehkharghani, who won his first bracelet earlier this summer, is eliminated in sixth place.

If the math is correct, Mizrachi has just inched his way over the seven-million-chip mark with that knockout pot.

The final table of the $50,000 Poker Players Championship kicks off today at 2 p.m. The starting field of 91 players is down to just 6, each looking to capture one of the most prestigious bracelets of the summer, the first-place prize of $1,296,097, and the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy. Leading the way into the final table is Justin Bonomo with 7,750,000.

Bonomo has spent much of the tournament at the top of the chip counts, having bagged the chiplead into Days 3, 4, and now the final table. This marks his sixth cash of the summer and his fourth final table, though gaining his second career WSOP bracelet has proved elusive with one runner-up finish and two third-place results. That said, Bonomo is firing on all cylinders and is the favorite entering the final table with 34% of the chips in play.

Two-time PPC champion Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi is second in chips with 5,535,000 and if there was ever someone to fear at a final table in a specific event, it's Mizrachi in the PPC. Having won this event in both 2010 and 2012, Mizrachi's experience could play a key role in how things unfold today. Playing under the bright lights on the big stage in the Thunderdome should make Mizrachi feel right at home.

Bonomo and Mizrachi hold nearly 60% of the chips in play, but don't count out the rest of the final table. Eric Wasserson is third in chips with 3,840,000 and despite being well known among his peers in the championship events at the WSOP, Wasserson isn't a household name. However, this marks his seventh cash of the summer, following a 2015 WSOP with six cashes. Wasserson is at the top of his game and this could be his breakthrough victory.

Between Bonomo's dominance for much of the tournament and Mizrachi's attempt for an unprecedented third victory in this event, flying somewhat under the radar is 2011 PPC champion Brian Rast, who sits fourth in chips with 3,185,000. This marks Rast's second final table of the summer, and first time back in the PPC money since his victory in 2011. Despite already having about $1 million in tournament winnings before that win, it was Rast's PPC victory that launched his career to the next level. Three more seven-figure paydays followed and a another could be in the cards today.

Rounding out the final table are Wil Wilkinson with 2,045,000 and Ray Dehkharghani with 395,000. Both boast similar career numbers at the WSOP, with 31 cashes between them and nearly $1.6 million in WSOP tournament winnings. Wilkinson has a third-place finish this summer already, while Dehkharghani won his first bracelet in Event #20: $10,000 Seven Card Razz.

Here are the seating assignments for today:

Seat 1: Wil Wilkinson - 2,045,000
Seat 2: Ray Dehkharghani - 395,000
Seat 3: Eric Wasserson - 3,840,000
Seat 4: Justin Bonomo - 7,750,000
Seat 5: Michael Mizrachi - 5,535,000
Seat 6: Brian Rast - 3,185,000

Live updates from the Amazon Main Stage will be provided here throughout the final table, and the action will also be broadcast with hole cards and commentary on a 30-minute delay.
