Danzer tables    , giving him three sixes for the high and an 8-6-4-3-A for low. It's a scoop, as Bonomo mucks his hand. Danzer now holds a commanding lead over both of his opponents.

He has 625,000 chips left in front of him at this point, and he eventually calls the extra bet. Danzer bets fifth street, Ohel raises, Danzer three-bets, and Ohel calls all in for 465,000 total.

"If you have a seven low, I'm dead," Ohel says. Danzer does not have a seven low. He has jacks and fives, while Ohel holds an eight low. Neither player improves on seventh street, and the duo chops the pot.

Randy Ohel (pictured) and George Danzer put in 80,000 apiece on both third and fourth streets, though the order of the action is unknown. Both players show three suited cards on fifth, and Ohel bets his lead. Danzer calls, then picks up a fourth low card of his suit on sixth street. Ohel checks. Danzer looks around, then checks behind, which causes both Justin Bonomo and Ohel to laugh.

"I have... a draw," Danzer says, pointing to his board.

"I see," Ohel laughs back.

"What are you drawing to?" Bonomo asks. The three men are still keeping the mood light, despite the fact that they're playing for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Ohel checks seventh street, and Danzer bets. Ohel needs some time to consider, talking through the spot. "Not a good river card," he begins. "I had a draw too." After another minute, he adds, "I have a funny feeling you have just a pair of threes." Eventually, he calls.

Danzer shows    , winning the pot with an ace-high flush. He crosses the 4,000,000-chip mark as he drags that pot, while Ohel's stack has slipped below the million-chip mark for the first time in a while.

As Ohel is stacking the pot, Danzer prods him for information. "Were jacks up good if I get there?" Danzer asks.

Ohel seems reluctant to answer. After maybe 15 seconds, he finds a response. "It was until the river," he says. Danzer seems satisfied by the answer, but that pot has knocked him out of the top spot on the leaderboard.

On fifth street, Taylor-Brady has 101,000 behind, and she bets 100,000. Ohel goes in the tank before making a decision.

"Come on Randy, raise and take it," laughs Taylor-Brady.

"I don't have what I'm supposed to have," smiles Ohel, who eventually commits 101,000 to the pot.

Taylor-Brady shows a pair of aces, and Ohel needs a miracle runner-runner to win with his high-card king. Ohel spikes the   on sixth street, giving him a gutshot straight draw, while Taylor-Brady picks up a low draw with the  .

Ohel gets there on the river, as the   gives him a Broadway straight. Taylor-Brady catches a third ace, but it's not enough to survive. The last non-bracelet winner in the field ends in fourth place, netting her a six-figure payday.

Danzer shows    for three jacks.

Brunson tables    for a pair of fives. Sixth street is a good one for him, as the   gives him both a low draw and a flush draw. That's as close as he gets to catching up though. Danzer rivers the   to make jacks full, leaving Brunson dead to the high half of the pot. He can't find an out to the low half either; Brunson's last card is the useless  , and he's eliminated in fifth place.

Considering what's at stake, the overall mood at the table is surprisingly light and talkative among the final five players. George Danzer (pictured) is the life of the party for the most part, with most of the conversation centering around the gregarious German pro.

At some point earlier today, Danzer's tablemates began to periodically criticize his play in jest, and that little side game has resumed once again over the past few hands. The announcer is provoking some of the chatter, and the dealers are occasionally chiding him in a good-natured way, too. Even Danzer himself has gotten in on the fun, often criticizing his own play or making jokes at his own expense.

In a recent pot, Danzer is heads-up against Esther Taylor-Brady.

Danzer:     /
Taylor-Brady:     /

Danzer brings-in with the  , Taylor-Brady completes with the  , and Danzer defends. Taylor-Brady bets her lead on fourth street, and Danzer calls.

"I don't think there's a word for 'fold' in German," Randy Ohel says.

Taylor-Brady bets again on fourth street, and Danzer seems reluctant to surrender. "I'm going to fold the best hand," he says, drawing a laugh from the table. He folds.

"Didn't you win this tournament before?" Todd Brunson asks, feigning disbelief.

"Yeah," Danzer confirms. "But I played...different."

Despite the needles, Danzer appears to be in his comfort zone this evening. He's the chip leader with five players remaining, looking to win this Stud Hi-Lo Championship for the second time in three years.
