The remaining 237 players took their seats at noon today with the biggest poker dream of all still alive for every one of them. After two levels of play around 54 of them vanished along with that dream.
Joseph McKeehen started the day as chip leader and he continues to lead with 3,351,000. He's being chased by players such as Jay Sharon (3,010,000), Brain Hastings (2,515,000), Upeshka De Silva (3,250,000), Matt Jarvis (2,100,000) and Daniel Negreanu (1,073,000).
French superstar Patrick Bruel came back with one of the shortest stacks today and didn't manage to last long. He found an ace and moved all in, but ran into a bigger ace behind. Jay Sharon had the bigger hand and it enabled him to pass 2.3 million. Bruel may be more famous for achievements outside of poker but Vivek Rajkumar is purely known for his prowess on the baize. He's one of the most feared players out there so it will be of great relief to all remaining players to know that he's out. He moved all in with second pair on the river but was called by Shay Zurr with top pair.
Vivek Rajkumar - Big Name Gone
One of the biggest clashes of the level happened between Justin Bonomo and Dan O'Brien. The two Vegas-based pros would only have clashed with big hands and that's exactly what they had. The latter was unfortunate to have the worst of it with pocket queens. Bonomo takes 2,936,000 to the break.
The players have 20 minutes now to refresh and be ready to go at it again.
