Level 18 concludes, and the players are on a 90-minute break. From the 661 Day 4 starters, just 349 players remain. Everyone left is guaranteed at least $29,329.

The third level of the day was highlighted by a handful of big-name eliminations. Ryan Riess had about 120,000 chips left when he ran his pocket sevens into pocket queens, ending his day in 426th place.

2015 World Series of Poker

Moments later, another former Main Event champion was eliminated from the main featured table. Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu battled in a huge coin flip with Hellmuth’s pocket queens a slight favorite against Negreanu’s ace-king. Negreanu flopped a pair of kings, though, and news of Hellmuth’s 417th-place elimination sent a wave of applause through the Amazon Room.

2015 World Series of Poker

Another famous Phil was sent to the payout line right behind Hellmuth. Phil Laak was eliminated in 412th place after running his ace-king into Christian Harder’s pocket aces.

Chris DeMaci, Ryan Welch, Joseph Cappello, Matt Vengrin, Brian Lemke, Matt Berkey, and Craig McCorkell were also eliminated during the third level of the day.

It’s not all bad news, though. While the eliminations were piling up at the cashier’s desk, a few players were continuing to amass huge stacks. Joe McKeehen (pictured below) led at the previous break, and he continued his ascent during the last level, finishing with 1.979 million chips.

2015 World Series of Poker

That's still good for the overall lead, but there is a big chase pack forming on McKeehen's heels.

Day 2 chipleader Amar Anand had a rough start to the day, but he rebounded in a big way during the third level. Most of Anand's new chips came at the expense of Tim Reilly in a big coin flip. Nikita Nikolaev eliminated Peter Akery in a big flip of his own to climb into seven figures. Antonio Copo flopped a set of fives to crack pocket aces in a huge pot against James Hawley, doubling up to about 1.5 million and finishing the level with 1.24 million. Alan Wentz got his money in with a straight plus a Royal Flush draw against Matt Berkey's top set, putting a pot worth nearly a million chips in the middle. Berkey could not catch up, and Wentz went ahead and completed his Royal with the Ace of Hearts on the river.

Here are the current top five:

Joe McKeehen - 1,979,000
Jim Rumptz - 1,800,000
Brian Hastings - 1,745,000
Federico Butteroni - 1,708,000
Amar Anand - 1,656,000

Only three players had seven-figure stacks to begin the day, but that number has grown to more than 40 as they depart for dinner. Jared Jaffee, Danny Fuhs, Mark Kroon, Orson Young, Upeshka de Silva, Toby Lewis, and Men Nguyen are among the players that passed the million-chip milestone for the first time during the last level.

The Amazon Room is quiet for the next 90 minutes, and action will resume at about 8:25 PM PDT.

When the board is run out, it comes ten-high,      , giving no help to Reilly, who busts the Main Event with ace-king for the second straight year.
