Bellande draws two cards on each draw, while Gorodinsky draws two-one-pat. Gorodinsky bets every street, and Bellande calls the first two quickly. After the final bet, though, he pauses.

"Three-card ten?" Gorodinsky asks.

"Is it good?" Bellande answers.

"Is that what you have?"

"Three-card nine," Bellande lies, perhaps.

Gorodinsky quiets down now, and Bellande eventually calls. Gorodinsky fans      badugi to win the pot.

"Three-card five," Bellande tries again as he pays off the last bet. Gorodinsky has edged back in front as he drags that pot.

Mike Gorodinsky brings it in with a jack and Jean-Robert Bellande completes his six. Gorodinsky calls to see fourth street. Gorodinsky pulls an ace on fourth for first action and he fires out a bet. Bellande calls and pairs his jacks on fifth.

"Are there six jacks in this deck?" says Bellande. "Seriously."

Gorodinsky cuts out a bet on fifth and Bellande calls once again. On sixth street, Gorodinsky continues his aggression with yet another bet.

"I have a feeling you paired aces and fours," says Bellande.

"Then you're very far ahead," replies Gorodinsky.

Bellande tosses out a call and the two players are dealt their final hole cards. Gorodinsky best one last time, causing Bellande to stir in his seat.

"Wow, really?" remarks Bellande. "I haven't even looked yet."

He slides out a call. Gorodinsky slaps     on the felt for a jack-eight. Bellande tables     for an eight-seven.

"Ship-a-dee-doo-dah!" yells Bellande as he stands from the table. His rail lets out cheers and he inches the match back toward even.

Gorodinsky checks again on fifth, prompting Bellande to fire out another bet. Gorodinsky slides out a check-raise and Bellande calls. Gorodinsky slows on sixth with a check and Bellande immediately moves betting chips forward. Gorodinsky thinks for a moment before calling.

On seventh, Gorodinsky checks and Bellande continues his aggression with one last bet. Gorodinsky comes over the top with another check-raise, causing Bellande to instantly jolt in his seat.

"Damn, dude," remarks Bellande. "That's like impossible dude."

Bellande stands up from his seat and continues.

"I had the straight on fifth and you check raise me? Wow! Unless you're rolled up and filled up on the river. The pot is so big I can't lay it down even though I know you've got it."

Bellande sits down, cuts out calling chips, and then stands up once more. He takes a breath and slides his call forward. Gorodinsky throws over     for a full house of aces full of treys. A stunned Bellande throws his cards into the muck and Gorodinsky scoops the massive pot.

"Never thought the worst beat I'd taken in my life would be in stud," says Bellande after the hand. "Damn!"

From the button, Mike Gorodinsky opens to 125,000. Jean-Robert Bellande calls from the small blind, and action freezes on David Baker in the big. He peeks down at his 1.2 million chips, then announces an all in. He sees Gorodinsky eying it up, so he starts to break down his stack and asks if he needs a count.

"Nah," Gorodinsky says after a moment. "I'm all in." Bellande quickly folds, and Baker is at risk for his tournament life. The news is not good.

"Oh, I'm in bad shape," Baker surmises correctly.

He manages to flop a jack on the    , but that's as close as he'll come. The turn   and river   are blanks, and Baker has been eliminated in third place. He earns more than a half million dollars for his work this week in the Poker Players Championship.

Mike Gorodinsky raises from the button and it folds to David "ODB" Baker who calls from the big blind. Baker takes two new cards at the draw while Gorodinsky opts for three. Baker bets, Gorodinsky calls, and the two players are off to their second draw.

For the second draw, Baker and Gorodinsky each exchange one card. Baker fires again only to have Gorodinsky come over the top. Baker calls and stands pat for the final draw. Gorodinsky goes into the tank for about a minute before deciding to take one. Baker checks and Gorodinsky comes out with a bet. Baker tosses out calling chips.

"Wheel," says Gorodinsky, throwing       onto the felt. Baker mucks and Gorodinsky wins the pot.

"Ugh," laments Baker to his rail. "One card for all of it."

Mike Gorodinsky raises to 240,000 from the button, opening a can of worms. Jean-Robert Bellande reraises to 360,000 in the small blind, and David Baker makes it four bets for 480,000 in the big. Gorodinsky caps it at five bets for 600,000, and Bellande and Baker call.

Bellande is pat, Baker draws one, and Gorodinsky draws two. Bellande bets the first 120,000, and Baker raises all in for 210,000. Gorodinsky calls, and Bellande reraises to 330,000 total. Baker is officially at risk, and Gorodinsky calls the extra bet. The draws repeat with the three players drawing pat-one-two. Bellande bets, and Gorodinsky calls. They're still drawing the same pat-one-two on the last round, and Bellande checks. Gorodinsky checks behind.

Gorodinsky's       is third best, so he doesn't factor into the outcome of the hand. Bellande tables       to claim the side pot, and Baker is now drawing for his tournament life. He tables his first four while he stands up to squeeze:     .

When he peeks at his card, Baker likes what he sees.

"You're live?" Bellande asks?

"Very live," Baker answers.

"Oh no. Very live?"

"Very live. Two thirds. It's three-across hearts." Baker knows that he has either the five, six, or seven of hearts, and two of those are winners. He takes a deep breath and slams over his river. It's the  ! Baker pumps his fist, tripling up with      .
