2015 World Series of Poker
The seventh $10,000 buy-in event of the summer got cards in the air on Saturday afternoon. By the time late registration closed, there were 77 player who put up a stack of high society to get into the No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Championship.

After 10 levels of play, the day wrapped up with just 33 players remaining and Nick Schulman leads them all after bagging 229,000 in chips and bagging a massive chip lead over the rest of the field. Joining Schulman at the top of the counts are Dan Smith, Shaun Deeb, and Mike Watson. They bagged 121, 900, 121,200, and 114,000 in chips, respectively.

As usual, the event was filled with many of the game's greats and basically had every table had a few bracelet winners among them. Phil Galfond, Jeff Lisandro, George Danzer, Brian Hastings, Mike Gorodinsky, Paul Volpe, and Mike Leah are just a few of the top flight professionals who survived 10 levels of play.

However, not everybody was lucky enough to make it through the day. Jason Mercier, Matthew Ashton, John Monnette, David Williams, John Hennigan, Antonio Esfandiari, Calvin Anderson, Layne Flack, Justin Bonomo, and Mohsin Charania were just a few of the notable pros who hit the rail before the day's end.

The remaining 33 players will return to the Rio on Sunday at 2 pm to get cards in the air for Day 2 of the event. Day 2 will play another 10, 60 minute levels before bagging up for the night and returning on Monday to play down to a winner.

Check back with WSOP.com for complete coverage of the event as they move closer to another bracelet winner this summer.
