Christian Rodriguez raises from under the gun to 1,600,000. Joshua Wallace three bets all in for 7,800,000 on the button. It folds back to Wallace, who goes into the tank. After three-quarters of a minute, Rodriguez calls and the hands are turned up.

The flop comes    , putting Wallace well behind and needing one of the two remaining threes to have a chance at surviving. The   turn puts winning out of reach, as the best Wallace can do now is chop. Wallace must have an angel on his shoulder because a chop is exactly what he gets with the   river, putting a straight on board and counterfeiting Rodriguez.

Fernando Konishi moves all in from under the gun for 6,400,000.

Action folds around to Perry Shiao in the big blind. He checks his cards one at a time, then calls and turns over   . He's in a virtual coin flip against Konishi's   .

The flop changes matters, though, as the   appears right in the door. The full flop is    , and Konishi takes the lead with his pair of queens. The turn is the  , and Shiao picks up a flush draw. He starts jumping up and down, shouting, "C'mon!" And he jumps even higher when the dealer turns over the   on the river, giving him a club flush and the pot.

An emotional Konishi crumples in the corner of the stage, as a few friends come over from the rail to comfort him. Shiao and Christian Rodriguez come over as well, congratulating him on an impressive performance over the past few days. After a collecting himself, Konishi spends a couple minutes with his rail, then returns to the table and hugs all six of the remaining players before making his way to the payout desk, where he'll collect $195,543 for his 7th-place finish.
