Bryan Pimlott knows more than most that even the worst injuries can be healed, so when the orthopedic trauma surgeon from Phoenix, Arizona saw his stack shattered by the cruelest kind of beat on Day 1, he simply did what he does best: rebuild.

Holding    squaring off against two opponents for a huge pot in Level 7, Pimlott saw the board run out with four clubs, and after calling a bet on the river, he was shown    for a crushing loss. This left him with only 300 chips to work with - enough for only one half of the big bet at the time - but somehow Pimlott managed to spin his micro-stack back up to 7,200 to end the day. By the time players bagged and tagged at the end of Day 2, Pimlott had 136,000 to work with, and now he sits with right around 120,000 with just three tables remaining in play.

Pimlott has dedicated his professional life to practicing medicine, tackling the toughest cases involving spinal fractures, brain bleeding, and other injuries that can only be described as catastrophic. Of course, Pimlott also performs routine operations as part of his daily duties, but his passion for orthopedics clearly lies in it's ability to bring people back from the brink of paralysis or death.

He also loves a good game of poker, competing in the bigger Limit Hold'em games spread at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, and attending the World Series of Poker every year as a getaway of sorts. With his latest in-the-money finish here in Event #11: $1,500 Limit Hold'em, Pimlott now has eight career WSOP cashes - but he still has work yet to top his best runs in bracelet events (13th in this very same tournament back in 2011).
