Former online poker phenom Scott 'urnotindanger' Palmer has just raked in another big pot to put him over the 400,000-chip mark.
We caught the action on the turn with the board showing when Palmer bet 18,500 from the small blind. One of the biggest stack at the start of the day, John Sacha, raised to 34,500, but the dealer instructed him he had to make it at least 37,000.
Sacha put in the right amount of chips and Palmer did not waste much time before making the the call.
On the river the popped up and Palmer checked. Sacha bet 53,800 and Palmer called quickly. Sacha showed and his mucked was mucked, as Palmer showed for a flopped set.

Phil Ivey and Kearns Julien checked to Cong Pham on a board of , and Pham tossed out a bet of 38,500. Ivey quickly called, and Julien tanked for several minutes before calling the clock on himself. He eventually slid his hand into the muck, and the dealer burned one last card before delivering the on the river.
Ivey checked, Pham checked behind, and Ivey said he missed. Pham showed for a pair of nines, and was awarded the pot.

Isaac Baron Is Running "Absurd"
It was folded to a short-stacked player in the hijack who moved all in for 20,900. Andrew Lichtenberger was one seat to his left and made the call. Isaac Baron was another spot over and he raised it to 48,900. The blinds folded and it was back on Lichtenberger who tanked for two minutes before quietly announcing he was all in.
Baron didn't snap-call, but he did ask the dealer for a count. After pulling in 20,900 apiece for the main pot, and 28,000 apiece additional for the side pot, it was determined that Lichtenberger had moved all in for an additional 115,900. Now it was Baron's turn to tank. He started muttering to himself and took a quick peek back at his cards, shaking his head as he leaned slightly back in his chair.
"115,900 more right?" he asked.
"That's correct," answered the dealer.
Baron flung his hand in frustration towards the center of the table several times and then announced a call. The hands were turned over:

Mayrinck Making Money
Chatterbox Maria Mayrinck has had a great first level of the day. After starting at just over 180,000, she has nearly doubled that in two hours. Mayrinck was caught bluffing in an early hand, but not long after that her image paid off when she hit a set and managed to get paid in a big pot.

Break Time; Nearly 300 Players Eliminated, Isaac Baron Takes Chip Lead
The first level of Day 3 has come and gone here in the Main Event with close to 300 players being eliminated in two hours of play. Approximately 1,566 players are remaining, and they are all now heading on a 20-minute break.
Once the cards hit the air it would be a slow first few orbits as players settled in for the day. Some short stacks doubled and were eliminated while some of the chip leaders began where they left off. WPT Champion Taylor von Kriegenbergh would soar up the leaderboard when he called an all-in holding second pair and a straight draw on the turn and got the on the river. NBA Superstar Paul Pierce then found a double holding on a against while a big pot for Isaac Baron saw a new chip leader emerge.
On a board, Baron and his opponent Anthony Denicco endured a raising war before Denicco was all in holding against Baron's . There would be no one-outer on the turn and river as Baron soared up to 674,000 in chips as Denicco hit the rail.
Joining Denicco on the rail included the likes of Dan Kelly, Humberto Brenes, James Calderaro, Nick DiVella, Nate Meyvis, Theo Jorgensen, and Daniel Negreanu. The 2013 WSOP Player of the Year chipped up early today, but then called a huge bet with on a queen-high board only to run into Jeffrey Chang's . Negreanu would then commit the remainder of his chips with two pair but would run into Chang's flopped flush to hit the rail just short of break.
As play ended for the level, it would be Baron still on top with 695,000 in chips, but start-of-day chip leader Phil Ivey — who made quads earlier — has seen his stack climb to 600,000 while Munir Shahin, Raul Mestre, Steve Tripp and Michael Aron are all among the top few counts as well.
