Silver Runs into Aces

After eliminating Andrea Dato holding two aces, Max Silver has now run into a pair of bullets himself.

Ami Alibay was all in and at risk for 73,600 with    against Silver's dominated   , but Silver picked up a few outs on a flop of    . The   on the turn also gave him four outs to chop - any   would give the duo Broadway - but the   bricked off on the river.

Alibay doubled to 148,200 chips, while Silver dipped back down to 104,000.

We didn't catch the precise pre flop action, but it appeared as if Leonid Markin had limped the cutoff, and Faraz Jaka had shoved all in for 26,600 from the big blind. Markin, who started the day as the chip leader, made the call.

In a pre flop situation between Waxman (button) and Lacay (big blind), it was the Frenchman eventually departing. Waxman had    and was up against   . Waxman flopped top pair, and Lacay wouldn't catch up:      .

Hunichen Doesn't Have Deuces

When we arrived at Table 350, the scene looked like this: David Paredes had what appeared to be a three-bet to 12,700 in front of him, Byron Kaverman had a four-bet of 21,500 in front of him, and Chris Hunichen was all in for 67,600.

Paredes folded, and Kaverman went into the tank.

"I feel like you have deuces or something," Kaverman finally said.

There was a beat.

"I don't," Hunichen said simply.

The players at the table burst into laughter - even Kaverman grinned.

"Well," Andrew Lichtenberger interjected. "That settles that."

Kaverman eventually folded, and Eric Wasserson urged "Big Huni" to show a deuce.

"Trust me," Hunichen said. "If I had a deuce I would show."

Nam Le opened to 3,400 and got reraised by Wade Townsend in the big blind to 8,200. Le pondered for a little bit, and then shoved all in for a total of 36,300. Townsend made the call, and soon found out he had some catching up to do.

Duhamel on the Rise

Jonthan Duhamel had the button, and raised to 3,200. Max Silver called in the big blind, then checked on a flop of    . Duhamel continued for 4,500, Silver check-raised to 11,500, and Duhamel made the call.

The turn was the  , Silver led out for 12,500, and the 2010 WSOP Main Event champ made the call.

All the chips went in, in a blind battle between Layne Flack (small blind) and Dan Smith (big blind). Flack was the player at risk with 89,100 in the middle. Smith had him covered, but just by about 16,000.

Brigette Keeps Building

During one of our first passes today, we noticed that Brigette Lau had quickly chipped up to over 200,000. She's added more since then, and is now flirting with the quarter-million marker.

She was recently going toe-to-toe with Jared Jaffee on a board of     . Lau checked, Jaffee fired out 7,800, and Lau tanked for a considerable amount of time before check-raising to 18,000.

Larry Versus Ludo

On a      board we saw 5,500 in front of EPT Sanremo winner Ludovic Lacay. The all in button and a total of 28,600 chips lay before Larry Wright and he said "I'm feeling pretty confident, you didn't snap". Lacay looked like he wanted to fold, but called in the end anyway.

Wright turned over    for the nuts, Lacay angrily threw his    forward. "Go for the gutshot, hit the $#@*! gutshot" said the Frenchman. The   on the river was a blank and Wright doubled up.
