Brutal River Ends the Day For Boyden

Thomas Boyden

Thomas "pkermeister" Boyden raised to 530 from the cutoff, Jeff "NedrudRelyt" Madsen three-bet from the button for 1,528, Boyden called.

The flop came the    . Boyden check-called a bet of 1,593.

The turn was the  . Madsen bet 3,981 after a check. Boyden raised to 11,313 leaving himself only 3,329 behind. Madsen re-popped it to force Boyden to put the extra behind in and he did.

Madsen had the    but that was no good vs the    two-pair of Boyden who was looking at a huge double.

But the river was painful for Boyden as the   came off to give Madsen a river set and bust Boyden who did not re-buy.

Tony "Panoramic" Dunst Looking For WSOP Bracelet #3

Tony Dunst

WPT Commentator Tony "Panoramic" Dunst has over $3.8 million in Hendon Mob recorded cashes to his credit, and with those million of dollars in earnings are a pair of WSOP Gold Bracelets, one of which he won in 2016 in the WSOP's Event #63: $1,000 No Limit Hold'em for $339,254 (which is actually just the fourth largest score of his career). The second bracelet was earned in last year's iteration of the WSOP Online Bracelet Series, in Event #21: $777 No Limit Hold'em 6-Max.

That event, which saw 1,361 entrants hit the virtual felt, saw Dunst hit the final table of six with a big chip lead, one he used to knock out the dangerous Jon "havuuuuuc" Turner and Krista "Pollux" Gifford in short order. Charles "ilosestackz" Phillips" and Alec "Tango_Bravo" Parslow fell next, and in heads-up play, James "paymycollege" Pace made a seven-high straight against Dunst with the stack sitting nearly even, but Dunst held a flush and left Pace with a single big blind. No chip and chair story came to fruition for Pace, and Dunst collected his second WSOP Gold Bracelet and $168,342 for the victory.

Dunst played a large slate of events in last year's events, and we'll be looking for him to be a frequent contender to add more WSOP hardware to his coffers during this summer's WSOP Online Bracelet Series.

Nguyen Can't Bluff Shorr

Shannon Shorr

Shannon "aulophobia" Shorr opened under the gun for 400, Wendy "NgucMammy" Nguyen called directly to his left and action folded to Christopher "Voccgbcc0235" Carle who three-bet to 1,500 from the small blind.

After Thomas "HavanaClub" Boivin folded his big blind, Shorr clicked call, as did Nguyen, bringing three-way action to the     flop.

Carle continued for 2,000 and was called by Shorr before Nguyen raised all in for 11,531.

Carle spent some time in the tank but ultimately mucked his hand while Shorr snap-called and the two hands were revealed.

Shannon "aulophobia" Shorr:
Wendy "NgucMammy" Nguyen:

Nguyen was behind holding an over with one of Shorr's outs but that didn't matter as the case nine   appeared on the turn, securing the pot for Shorr while Nguyen re-entered after the   completed the board on the river.

Ye "yuan365" Yuan Looking For Another Big Summer of Online Fun

Ye Yuan

Ye "yuan365" Yuan, also known as Tony Yuan, has a tiny amount of cashes on his Hendon Mob profile, with just $6,774 in career tournament earnings outside of one particularly big outlier. Yuan, a Ph.D Candidate of Mathematics and Probability at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, overcame the odds and made the final table of the 2020 WSOP $10,000 Main Event, after pushing through a field of 705 entrants.

"I still can't believe it." Yuan told PokerNews about his run to the final table. "I don't know how I made it, but someone I did. I was quite lucky to have some big hands. I won a coinflip when short-stacked with pocket nines against my opponent's ace-jack offsuit." Yuan also was confident in the transition to the live final table, as opposed to online, saying, "I'm a live guy. I think my live play is better than my online play. I can read people."

Yuan finally succumbed in fifth-place, losing a flip with ace-ten to the pocket fours of Joseph Hebert, but the $286,963 payday certainly helped put a big dent in his college tuition. Now, with another summer of online events waiting, Yuan will be looking to make another deep today after notching two final tables already this series.
