Nearly Four Starting Stacks for Duric

Duric busts Metalidi

If it was a bounty tournament, Marko "karabaja987" Duric would've almost had his buy-in back by now. The Croation is up to nearly 100k in the first level of the day after racking up a few eliminations along the way.

In one of those hands, Duric raised the small blind after an under-the-gun limp from "deafandblind", and Artem "your_falafel" Metalidi in the big blind, as well as "deafandblind", bought a flop.

The flop was     and Duric bet 2,743, with Metalidi as the only caller. On the   turn, Duric bet 3,972 and Metalidi called again.

The river was the   and Duric moved all in to cover Metalidi's remaining stack of 12,218. The 2018 WSOP Main Event final tablist called it off with    but Duric had a set with    to send the Ukranian off for a reentry.

Early Surge for Quoss

Fabian Quoss

German high roller Fabian Quoss notched an early elimination to soar up the leaderboard in level 2 of the day. On a       board, Quoss held    and shoved over a river bet from "Vakeli". "Vakeli" opted to call it off with    and busted to see Quoss move up to 63k.

It isn't the first time the German pro, officially 'retired' from poker, shows up again to showcase his still great aptitude at the game. At this year's Aussie Millions (you'd almost forget it with the pandemic going on, but there was, in fact, a 2020 Aussie Millions), Quoss had a dominating Day 1A before ultimately bowing out in 17th place for A$82,000.
